Cocktail Sausages
Are you like me, and when you think about cocktail sausages, you think of that 1970’s appetiser?
As in the little cocktail sticks with the cocktail sausages, pineapple and some cheese.
They are one of my favourite treats over Christmas and I still make them now, even though they have been out of fashion for a lot of years.
I just love the simplicity of the food on the cocktail sticks and reminds me of just how much I love eating cocktail sausages.
Fast forward to our modern world of air frying, and I love to still make cocktail sticks with sausage, pineapple and cheese, but now the cocktail sausages are cooked in the air fryer.
Its quick to do cocktail sausages in air fryer, and you can be getting everything else ready on the sticks as the cocktail sausages cook. Then allow them to cool because otherwise that cheese will melt (saying from personal experience lol).
Today, I will be showing you air fryer cocktail sausages, honey and mustard cocktail sausages, along with how long to cook cocktail sausages in air fryer, and then you can decide how you want to enjoy them.

Or if you want to go branded try air fryer Richmond sausages or air fryer heck sausages.
Can You Air Fry Frozen Cocktail Sausages?
Yes, you can air fry frozen cocktail sausages and you will love them. We have cooked many sausages from frozen in the air fryer and we love the cocktail frozen sausages the most.
Why? Because cocktail sausages are smaller (often called mini sausages) they cook faster in the air fryer. They also carry a little more fat than the healthier alternative meaning that they brown better.
How Do You Cook Cocktail Sausages?
In the air fryer of course, just grab a bag of your favourite cocktail sausages from the freezer, throw them in the air fryer and hey presto, you have perfectly cooked pork cocktail sausages.
What About Quorn Cocktail Sausages?
If you are a vegetarian, why not cook quorn cocktail sausages in the air fryer instead? I have tried them in the air fryer and really liked them. They need a little longer if you want them brown, but are a great plan B.
If you do like quorn do check out our frozen air fryer quorn nuggets.
Ninja Foodi Air Fryer Cocktail Sausages
Do you have a Ninja Foodi? Then you will be pleased to know that you can use the air fryer basket for your frozen cocktail sausages.

Cocktail Sausages Air Fryer Ingredients
Cocktail Sausages – We find the Iceland cocktail sausages bags are quite small so did 2 bags of them. You can do as few cocktail sausages as you like. Though don’t go above our quantity as they will not cook well if overloaded.
Sticky – I also have with me some honey, mustard, garlic puree and Greek yoghurt if you want honey mustard cocktail sausages.
Sticks – Or if you would rather go 1970’s style get a can of pineapple and slice into chunks and also slice up some cheddar into chunks.
Can You Recommend An Air Fryer?
I often get asked which air fryers I recommend and which one I use. In 95% of our air fryer recipes, we use either the Philips Air Fryer XL or the Cosori XL because they are the best ones, we have found out of many air fryers we have tried over the years. You can click on the links above and read up on them. But if you would rather have a dual air fryer we recommend this Ninja Dual (make sure you order the right one as not all are good) or the Philips Dual.
How To Air Fry Cocktail Sausages?
- Dump. Let’s start with dumping your frozen cocktail sausages into the air fryer. Then air fry cocktail sausages for 12 minutes at 200c/400f for perfectly brown mini cocktail sausages.
- Sauce. If you want to upgrade your cocktail sausage to honey and mustard cocktail sausages you can do this now. Add the sauce ingredients into a bowl, mix well and you can either dunk or toss your sausages in the mix.

How Long To Cook Cocktail Sausages In Air Fryer?
We recommend 12 minutes at 200c/400f for your chipolata sausages in air fryer. This creates a beautiful brown colour on the cocktail sausages, though if you don’t want them brown, they will be cooked on 10 minutes.
Sticky Cocktail Sausages
If you prefer sticky cocktail sausages, instead leave out the Greek yoghurt and then mix the other honey and mustard ingredients and you will have an amazing sticky cocktail sausages recipe.
