Air fryer frozen hot dogs came about because we had some spare German sausages in the freezer, plenty of frozen hot dog buns and wanted to share with you how easy it is.
That you have a simple way for cooking your favourite frozen hot dogs and that dinner does not have to be a big deal. You can throw it all in the air fryer and have a delicious dinner to share with your family.
You can then choose how you like them. That might be mustard, mayonnaise, burger sauce or even tomato ketchup.
Can You Put Frozen Hot Dogs In Air Fryer?
Yes you can and they are AMAZING. Frozen hot dogs cook better in the air fryer compared to fresh. That is because the wet moisture from the frozen hot dog sausage helps decrease the amount of smoke in the air fryer.
Plus, you have no worries about food waste because you can grab your hot dogs directly from the freezer, remove the packaging and load them into the air fryer basket.
They are also perfect for those lazy days when you are too tired to cook but have mouths to feed. Just throw your frozen hot dogs in air fryer and you are all set.

They do not have that horrible dry taste that frozen food often has, and you can remove the packaging, load them in the freezer and cook your frozen hot dogs.
How To Air Fry Frozen Hot Dogs?
Air frying frozen hot dogs is EASY:
- Remove packaging from your frozen hot dogs.
- Load frozen hot dog sausages into the air fryer basket.
- Cook your hot dogs for 6 minutes at 160c. Turn and cook for a further 6 minutes at 140c.
How Long To Air Fry Frozen Hot Dogs?
As mentioned above, it only takes 12 minutes to air fry frozen hot dogs. This is based upon thick authentic German sausages. The kind you would eat at a fair or at a family barbecue and not the ones out of the can.
Air Fryer Frozen Hot Dogs
- Remove packaging from hot dogs and load the frozen hot dogs into your air fryer basket.
- Cook for 6 minutes at 160c/320f.
- Turn the hot dogs and cook for a further 6 minutes at 140c/280f.
- Remove the hot dogs and place the frozen hot dog buns in the air fryer.
- Warm up the hot dog buns at 140c/280f for approximately 3 minutes.
- Load the hot dogs into the hot dog buns and serve with your favourite sauce.
