Frozen Yorkshire Pudding

Girl from Yorkshire here. I was raised in East Yorkshire until I was 22, moved to Manchester, then lived in the Algarve and I have now done full circle and live back in Yorkshire.

So, you can imagine the reaction I got when I first shared a video for frozen Yorkshire puddings in the air fryer.

But you know why I shared frozen and not homemade?

Which of course a Yorkshire lass should never do…..

Because frozen Yorkshire puddings are a fantastic learning curve for new air fryer users, it helps you understand as a beginner how to understand the time and temp and frozen Yorkshire puddings (especially aunt bessie’s) are amazing in the air fryer.

And whilst my mum would always make her own homemade Yorkshire puddings, once you tried out frozen and got the hang of it, then my all means head over to our air fryer homemade Yorkshire puddings and make the real thing.

YES, YES, YES, you can cook frozen Yorkshire puddings in an air fryer, and we have tried several of them.

We have tried Aunt Bessie Yorkshire puddings, Aunt Bessie bake at home Yorkshire pudding, the just essentials Asda Yorkshire puddings, as well as Iceland and a few other brands too.

Or our personal favourite was the giant Yorkshire puddings served with slow cooker savoury mince and instant pot no drain mashed potatoes.

All the Yorkshire puddings we have cooked from frozen in the air fryer have been a huge success.

Can You Cook Aunt Bessie Yorkshire Puddings In An Air Fryer?

Yes, you can cook Aunt Bessie Yorkshire pudding in air fryer and they are delicious. Whilst I have tried many more and liked them, you can really tell the difference when you cook with the Aunt Bessie brand.

I also find the same rule applies with air fryer frozen roast potatoes, the Aunt Bessie range taste 10 times better.

Can You Reheat Yorkshire Pudding In Air Fryer?

Yes, you can reheat Yorkshire pudding in air fryer and its just as easy as cooking frozen yorkies.

I find the perfect cook time for air fryer frozen Yorkshire puddings is 4 minutes. But because you are just reheating, I would recommend you half the time to two minutes for Yorkshire puddings that are already cooked and are going from fridge to air fryer.

Yorkies – You will need frozen Yorkshire puddings that will fit in the air fryer basket. If doing giant Yorkshires, then note you can only do one at a time. But if you have loads of little yorkies then you can probably fit 8 in your air fryer at once.

You don’t need any oil because remember frozen Yorkshire puddings are essentially cooked batter and crisp up perfectly on their own in the air fryer basket.

Then for the kitchen gadgets that we have used in this frozen Yorkshire pudding in air fryer recipe it has been our Cosori Air Fryer and our Philips Air Fryer because it has been tested in both. We recommend this one and its wonderful for many types of air fryer recipes.

Plus, we recommend you head over to our air fryer recipes category as we have more than 500 tried and tested air fryer recipes and have been air frying for 10 years.

How Long Do Yorkshire Puddings Go In The Air Fryer For?

You will be pleased to know that frozen Yorkshire puddings in the air fryer take JUST 4 minutes, or if reheating Yorkshire puddings it takes JUST 2 minutes.

And it’s the same for all, meaning Aunt Bessie’s Yorkshire Pudding cooking time is also 4 minutes.

Aunt Bessie Bake At Home Yorkshire Pudding

We also tried the Aunt Bessie Bake At Home Yorkshires. The idea with these is that you are buying frozen batter ready to air fry and then the air fryer cooks the Yorkshire puddings rather than just reheating already cooked from frozen.

It’s also a fantastic way to see how the batter cooks in the air fryer and get used to the process.

We cooked frozen bake at home yorkies for 12 minutes at 200c/400f and compared to turning the oven on we went from 20+ minutes down to 12. Plus, there is no need for a preheat.

What To Serve With Aunt Bessie Yorkshire Puddings?

What To Serve With Aunt Bessie Yorkshire Puddings

Given the choice I would eat any roast dinner or any Sunday dinner with Yorkshire puddings. I am a girl from Yorkshire and could just eat Yorkshire Puddings on their own!

But Yorkshire puddings are supposed to be served with roast beef and we recommend our slow cooker shin of beef, along with air fryer duck fat roast potatoes and to make some gravy from the beef shin juices.

Then if you want to add in some veggies how about microwave brussel sprouts and some instant pot cauliflower cheese.
