Frozen Pies In Air Fryer
If you love pie and want a quick solution, nothing beats frozen peas in air fryer. You can use any type of pie, and this is also great if you have fussy eaters.
You could do one pie type for you, then another for your hubby, another for your kids and totally mix and match in the air fryer.
Or if you are in Australia you could do frozen meat pies in air fryer (or for small follow our air fryer party pies).
Or if you live in the US why not do some frozen chicken pot pies in the air fryer.
Or did you batch cook some pies and have spare pies in the freezer? Then you can also cook from frozen your own homemade pies.
The choices are endless. When you get to our air fryer pies ingredients, you can see exactly which pies we tried and tested in the air fryer.
Can You Cook A Pie In An Air Fryer?
Yes, you can cook a pie in air fryer. You can cook a frozen raw pie, a chilled pie, or just use the air fryer to reheat a pie.
Beyond cooking these frozen pies in air fryer I also love to make an air fryer leftover turkey pie, air fryer egg and bacon pie, air fryer mince pies, or make a hearty air fryer apple pie.
Can I Cook A Frozen Pie In An Air Fryer?
Yes, you can also cook a frozen pie in air fryer. The cooking time is very little between a thawed pie and a frozen pie, so I much prefer to just cook the pies from frozen in the air fryer.
Can You Cook A Pie In A Ninja Air Fryer?
Yes, you can cook a pie in a Ninja Air Fryer and you can do it in one drawer, then cook your sides in the other. Or you could do a pie in each drawer. For example, in the pie recipe we have in Air Fryer Easy Everyday we cook one in each drawer.
Can You Put Pie Tin In Air Fryer?
Yes, you can put a pie in the air fryer that comes in a pie tin. Tin material, foil and such like work very well in the air fryer. Plus, we find that you can get pie tins in a lot of different sizes so its perfect for the air fryer.
Air Fryer Pies Ingredients
Pies – You can use as many that will fit in your air fryer, or you could do just 2 frozen pies in air fryer, or even 4, depending on how many mouths you have to feed.
Varieties – We started with Hollands pie in air fryer. They have a delicious potato and meat pie. We also did Tesco chicken and bacon pies and Heart Food Co chicken and veg pies. But you can do any air fryer frozen pie. For example chicken and mushroom pie in air fryer is also delicious and so is steak pies in air fryer, or just a classic chicken pot pie.
Golden – This is optional but if you would like that golden glow on your pies in the air fryer, you can add a brushing of egg wash to the top.
Can You Recommend An Air Fryer?
I often get asked which air fryers I recommend and which one I use. In 95% of our air fryer recipes, we use either the Philips Air Fryer XL or the Cosori XL because they are the best ones, we have found out of many air fryers we have tried over the years. You can click on the links above and read up on them. But if you would rather have a dual air fryer we recommend this Ninja Dual (make sure you order the right one as not all are good) or the Philips Dual.
How To Cook A Pie In An Air Fryer?
- Place. Start by placing your frozen pies into your air fryer basket. Spread them out. If using a dual air fryer like we have, you can fit two in each drawer. If you want a golden pie look you can brush the tops with egg wash, though this is of course optional.
- Cook. Set the time and temperature. We recommend for frozen pie in air fryer 20 minutes at 180c/360f.
How Long To Cook Pies In Air Fryer?
For frozen pie in air fryer we recommend 20 minutes. This is taking them from frozen to cooked, without needing to thaw them first.
Because we like cooking a pie in an air fryer with egg wash, we will usually cook the pies for 15 minutes, add the egg wash and then cook for the final 5 minutes.

Steak Pie In Ninja Foodi
If you have a Ninja Foodi, then you can make a steak pie in it, or any other type of pie. Our favourite was a Ninja Foodi Chicken Pot Pie which was made using the main cooking pot and tasted so good.
You can also use the slow cooker function to make a delicious slow cooker steak pie.

Frozen Pie In Air Fryer
Instructions
- Remove the frozen pies from the packaging and place into the air fryer basket. Spread them out, so that they are side by side and none are on top of each other. Or if using a Ninja Dual (like we are) you can usually fit 2 in each drawer.
- Cook the frozen pies in the air fryer for 15 minutes at 180c/360f.
- Then brush the tops of the pies with egg wash. At this point they will be almost cooked, they just need that last few minutes. Then cook for another 5 minutes at the same temperature.
Made it was delicious. Making one tonight again. The quality of the Marie Calendars Pot Pie has shrink. It’s gravy with eight peas, two small chicken pieces, and watery gravy. I love the pastry and with air fryer it’s even more appealing. The toasty brown . The taste is a one but definitely NOT YOUR FAULT. YOUR COOKING INSTRUCTION IS PERFECT. THE pie is less than. Marie Calendars says they sold their name and have no relationship to what is sold in supermarket. SHAME USED TO BE GOOD Had KFC POT PIE TWICE both times chicken bones. Could have choked they did said nothing.
All that to say 20 minutes. Thank you but perhaps take a creative writing class to satisfy your need to write and leave the recipe short or at least I link in the beginning to bypass all the fluff.
Hi Paul,
Can you please take alook at the recipe again because at the top of the post we have a jump to recipe marked in red which when pushed takes you to the recipe, many thanks 🙂
I have a small air fryer that doesn’t have temperature control. It’s cooking temp is 386 F. Could I cover the pie with foil for the bulk of the cooking time, and could or should the egg wash be applied at the start, or can it be applied before the final stage of cooking?
Pot pies are one of my favorite foods and I can’t wait to try this!
Thanks
Hi
You could try covering but the foil will probably reflect heat so it will need to be in there longer. Also with the egg wash i would wait a few minutes before the end as the heat comes from the top and will burn the egg wash if applied too soon 🙂
Thanks for the question!
Cooked my favourite meat pie in the air fryer last night and it was perfect. Thanks for the cook times and temps.
what a wonderful website. I love your frozen air fryer recipes.
Wondering if you could state the function it should be set to?
