Party Pies

Apologies to our Aussie readers, but we were late to the party pies party.

That is because with 13 years living in Portugal, we never really saw them available to buy until about 2 years ago.

We then got a box of party pies from Iceland and cooked them in the air fryer.

OMG we fell in love with these cute little pies and wanted more and more of them, to air fry.

It was also what first started my love affair with the meat pie and with us sharing with you homemade pie maker meat pies and air fryer meat pies within the last couple of weeks, we had to share with you next the frozen version of party pies in the air fryer.

But of course, we are living back in England now and instead of Iceland frozen party pies we are using M&S party pies. Even more tasty, though of course any brand of party pies will do the trick.

Can You Put Frozen Party Pies In The Air Fryer?

Yes, you can air fry frozen party pies and they are absolutely delicious. You can also do any kind of frozen pie, whether big or small. But I much prefer the small pies because they cook much quicker compared to our air fryer frozen pot pies.

Can You Put Party Pies & Sausage Rolls In The Air Fryer?

Yes, you sure can and now you are talking! I love frozen sausage rolls in the air fryer (especially the mini sausage rolls) and I love frozen party pies in the air fryer.

Because there is a similar cook time, its very easy to do both party pies and sausage rolls together and then serve them together for your next party.

Frozen Meat Pie Air Fryer

There is often confusion when I am talking about frozen party pies, when most want to air fry frozen mini meat pies.

Well, they are two of the same as I consider frozen meat pies in the air fryer to be the best flavour of frozen party pies.

Though the ones I used from M&S were a chicken and leek and a steak and ale.

Pies – When I air fry party pies, I am always thinking of a meat pie filling. But of course, any party pies will do. Just aim for a similar size to ours so that your cook time will match.

Ketchup – I love to do the party pies the Aussie way and serve them with some tomato ketchup. But its up to you what you add to your pies.

Then for the kitchen gadgets that we have used in this frozen party pies in air fryer recipe it has just been our Philips air fryer. We have this one and its wonderful for many types of air fryer recipes.

Plus, we recommend you head over to our air fryer recipes category as we have more than 500 tried and tested air fryer recipes and have been air frying for 10 years.

How To Cook Air Fryer Party Pies?

party pies in the air fryer step by step
  • Load. Remove your frozen party pies from the packaging and place in the air fryer basket.
  • Cook. Air fry for 8 minutes at 180c/360f followed by an extra 5 minutes at 170c/340f.
  • Serve. Then load into a serving platter with ketchup and tuck in.

And I am sure you can see now how easy it is to cook frozen party pies in the air fryer and why it is a firm favourite for a quick appetizer.

How Long To Cook Party Pies In Air Fryer?

Air fryer party pies are cooked in the air fryer in JUST 13 minutes. Note that I recommend turning down your pies to 170c/340f after the first 8 minutes to allow them to cook through and to stop them from just cooking on the outside.

Even though these were the best party pies I did notice a lot of the pastry flaked off when I removed them from the freezer. But they still tasted great and were cooked through.

Notes

Spray – Spraying with extra virgin olive oil is 100% optional. I find that you get a light crisp on them without, but you might prefer them more crispy than we do.

Frozen pies were delicious. I got the exact same ones you have and came here wondering if they could be cooked in the air fryer. I was not disappointed, your timings were great and my pies were delicious and done in no time at all.
