I bet I am not the only one that hadn’t tried a pukka pie until Jamie Oliver started the craze. The pukka pie always sounded so much better, compared to the cheap supermarket pies, and once we tried them, we were hooked.
But of course, we had already quit the oven when we cooked our first pukka pie, so it was air fried.
Since then, when we have a quick craving for pie, we will get some pukka pies and cook them in the air fryer.
Of course, this pukka pie air fryer recipe is for those in the UK as unfortunately they are not a thing elsewhere, but if you live outside the UK, you can swap a pukka pie for any frozen chicken/meat/vegetarian pies of a similar size.

The cooking time for your pies is the same regardless of cooking 1,2,3 or 4 pies at once.

Pies – You can use as many that will fit in your air fryer, or you could do just 2 pukka pies, or even 4, depending on how many mouths you have to feed.
Flavours – We tried a few different pukka pies in air fryer though our favourite was the Pukka steak pie.
Can You Recommend An Air Fryer?
I often get asked which air fryers I recommend and which one I use. In 95% of our air fryer recipes, we use either the Philips Air Fryer XL or the Cosori XL because they are the best ones, we have found out of many air fryers we have tried over the years. You can click on the links above and read up on them. But if you would rather have a dual air fryer we recommend this Ninja Dual (make sure you order the right one as not all are good) or the Philips Dual.

Hi Butterflyjak,
Thank you for your comment. Can we ask if you used just one side of the flex draw or the Megazone as we used the smaller Ninja Dual and our Philips XL not our Flexi draw, just wondering then we can test them again and see if there is any difference between the 2 Ninjas 🙂
