Carrots And Potatoes Instant Pot Ingredients
Carrots – We recommend using baby carrots. Less prep time and they taste amazing after they have been pressure cooked. Though depending on where you bought them from, they may need a scrub first.
Potatoes – Then for potatoes we recommend baby potatoes, or if you can’t get potatoes, chop the potatoes to the size of baby potatoes. Because what is important with your ingredients is that the carrots and potatoes cook at an equal time.
Extras – Then for the best instant pot carrots and potatoes we recommend some butter, and seasoning. But of course this is optional, you could just serve them with salt and pepper.
Decorations – Then we finished off with decorating the instant pot cheesecake. We kept it simple and added sliced crème eggs and some toffee sauce drizzled on top.

How To Cook Potatoes And Carrots In Instant Pot?
- Load. Pour 2 cups (480ml) of water into your instant pot inner pot. Add the trivet or tall steamer basket and then load it up with your carrots and potatoes. Season with salt and pepper.
- Cook. Then your potatoes and carrots are ready for pressure cooking. Place the lid on the instant pot, set the valve to sealing and pressure cook the carrots and potatoes for 10 minutes followed by a quick pressure release.
- Mix. When the potatoes and carrots are cooked and you have your perfect carrot and potato recipe, lets make it even better. Add the carrots and potatoes into a bowl and add the butter and seasonings and mix well. The butter will melt from the heat of the potatoes. Then place into a serving bowl and serve.

How Long To Pressure Cook Carrots And Potatoes?
The instant pot potatoes and carrots cook time is JUST 10 minutes. Plus of course, the time it takes for the carrots and potatoes to go to pressure, which isn’t long.
You can then plan your carrots and potatoes around the other things you are serving for dinner and then have everything ready at a similar time.

- Instant Pot
- Place 2 cups (480ml) of water into your inner pot. Add your steamer basket and load up the steamer basket with your potatoes and carrots. Generously season with salt and pepper. Place the lid on the instant pot, set the valve to sealing and pressure cook carrots and potatoes for 10 minutes followed by a quick pressure release.
- After a quick pressure release, check with a fork that the potatoes and carrots are fork tender, then remove the potatoes and carrots by the steamer basket and then load into a bowl.
- Add the butter and seasonings and mix well with a spatula.
- Transfer to a serving dish and serve.
