We have always been huge fans of corned beef pasties and its often something we make with leftovers from our slow cooker corned beef hash.

But up until now, we had never tried Greggs corned beef pasties, or as you might refer to them as, Greggs corned beef bakes.

Though what makes them stand out compared to other frozen food, is that they are sold to you frozen and uncooked. Just like they are going into the oven in a Greggs bakery, giving you a bakery style frozen food to cook at home in your air fryer.

Plus, because they are uncooked, once cooked you will close your eyes and think you are buying them from the bakery, not just loading them into the air fryer.

What’s In A Corned Beef Pasty?

A corned beef pasty varies depending on where you buy it from and what ingredients are to hand.

When I make my own corned beef pasties, I will often include corned beef hash leftovers such as potatoes, onion, and corned beef.

What Pastry For Corned Beef Pasties?

The tradition would be to make corned beef pasties with puff pastry. This is what Iceland Greggs corned beef pasties are made from.

By making corned beef pasties from puff pastry, it puffs up the pasty and makes it look a lot fatter and I think they look more beautiful.

But when making pasties at home, I prefer to make my own shortcrust pastry instead.

Do Greggs Still Do Corned Beef Pasties?

Yes, they sure do. I know there was some shortages last summer with corned beef pasties sold in the bakery shops. But for buying frozen corned beef pasties from Iceland, I have not had any problems at all.

I also appreciate that, if you are outside of the UK, you probably cannot source Greggs corned beef bakes or Greggs pasties to air fry.

Our Greggs corned beef bakes come from the frozen range in Iceland, and we have bulk bought many of their different frozen Greggs products to see how they do in the air fryer.

Instead, I recommend that you use any frozen pasty. Then aim for one of a similar size to ours so that your cook time can be similar.

Greggs Corned Beef Bake Ingredients

Frozen – You will need your Iceland Greggs corned beef pasties that you will want to cook in the air fryer. You can do two at a time in an average size air fryer, but if you want you can do them in batches.

Eggs – You will need eggs for the egg wash. I usually add a large egg to a ramekin and mix it with a fork with a splash of milk. Or you can make it more flavoursome by adding some seasoning to the eggs such as salt, pepper, and onion seasoning.

Sauce – Are you the one that likes something to dunk their frozen pasties into? I am. I love mayonnaise or ketchup the most. Just grab whatever you prefer or go without.

How To Cook Frozen Corned Beef Pasties In Air Fryer?

• Load. Remove your frozen corned beef pasties from its packaging and add it to the air fryer basket.
• Spray. Next spray the corned beef pasties with extra virgin olive oil. This will help stop them looking anaemic and give them a crisp. Alternatively swap this for egg wash.
• Cook. Air fry your Greggs pasties for 14 minutes until golden and piping hot in the centre.

And I am sure you can see now how easy it is to air fry corned beef pasties and why it has become one of my favourite frozen foods.

How Long To Cook Frozen Pasty In Air Fryer?

Greggs corned beef pasty cooking time is JUST 14 minutes. This is because you are air frying them raw and frozen.

If you want to reheat a corned beef pasty that is already cooked that is not frozen then its much quicker. You would just need 4 minutes at 160c/320f for a simple reheat.
