Can You Air Fry Frozen Gyoza?
Yes, you can air fry frozen gyozas and you will love how crispy they are and how quick they cook in the air fryer.
Even better, compared to many air fryer appetizers, they leave very little mess in the air fryer basket for you to clean up later.
You can also mix and match in the air fryer as a LOT of air fryer frozen foods carry a similar cook time, so you can have a few different appetizers cooking together.
What Is The Best Frozen Gyoza?
The best frozen gyoza is the Itsu chicken gyoza. I have tried a few different ones, but none compared to how great the chicken gyoza from the Itsu brand tastes.
If you have not tried Itsu yet, then its also their brand we featured yesterday in our frozen bao buns, and it never disappoints, and you can buy Itsu from many supermarkets in its frozen food section.
Potstickers Vs Gyoza
I often get asked gyoza vs dumpling and what is the difference. After all, gyoza is a type of dumpling and doesnโt that just make it a potsticker?
Well, potstickers and gyozas are both types of Chinese dumplings. But with a gyoza itโs a much thinner wrapper and are much harder to make through fear of breaking the wrapper.
And with the gyoza itโs the filling that is celebrated most and the fillings in a gyoza are delicious and you must try them!
Crispy Gyoza
The benefit of cooking frozen gyoza in the air fryer, is its magical ability to make a crispy gyoza.
You can add extra virgin olive oil spray for extra crispiness or keep them as they are, and they will naturally create a crisp.
Or if you would like a golden colour and crispiness, you can brush your frozen gyoza with egg wash before air frying.
Air Fryer Gyoza Ingredients
Gyozas โ It starts with your favourite brand of frozen gyozas that you would like to air fry. I recommend Itsu chicken gyozas the most as they are the nicest that I have ever tried.
Sauce โ I also love to have a dipping sauce with my air fryer gyozas. Its all about personal choice but I love either hoisin sauce or some sweet chilli sauce.
Then for the kitchen gadgets that we have used in this frozen gyozas in air fryer recipe it has just been our Cosori air fryer. We have this one and its wonderful for many types of air fryer recipes.
