Air Fryer Samosa
Yesterday I shared with how to cook frozen onion bhajis in the air fryer and today I wanted to follow this up with what I always cook at the same time.
I can not imagine not having air fryer samosas and air fryer onion bhajis as my go to Indian snack or if you live in the US what you would call air fryer Indian appetizers.
You can grab a box of your favourite frozen samosas, load them into the air fryer and come back to perfectly crispy samosas every single time.
I worked in an Indian takeaway in the late 90’s and the best thing was the delicious snacks, but fried was nice, but they never had the low fat crispy texture that the air fryer gave you.
Next time you are having a home curry night, I recommend buying some frozen samosas (and onion bhajis) and then air frying them as a starter or snack.

What Are Samosas?
If you have not heard of samosas, then note they are an Indian snack or Indian appetizer, that is often served as part of a starter in Indian restaurants.
It uses thin pastry, that goes beautiful crispy once air fried and the filling is often a mix of Indian favourites.
The typical samosa filling is spiced potatoes, onion, peas and Indian seasonings, but it can vary.

Iceland Frozen Samosas
Frozen – You will need your Iceland frozen samosas. Though if you don’t have an Iceland near you, this can swapped for another supermarket.
Spray – I also recommend a spray bottle filled with extra virgin olive oil. Don’t use frylight or pam because it ruins the air fryer.
Sauce – Are you the one that likes something to dunk into their frozen samosas? I am and love mango chutney the most, but any favourite Indian dip or sauce works well. Or what about some leftover curry sauce?
Then for the kitchen gadgets that we have used in this samosa air fryer recipe it has just been our Philips Air Fryer XL. We have this one and its wonderful for many types of air fryer recipes.

How Do You Air Fry Frozen Samosas?
- Load. Remove your frozen samosas from its packaging and add it to the air fryer basket.
- Spray. Next spray the frozen samosas with extra virgin olive oil. This will help stop them looking anaemic and give them a crisp. Alternatively swap this for egg wash.
- Cook. Air fry your samosas from frozen for 6 minutes until golden and piping hot in the centre.
And I am sure you can see now how easy it is to cook air fried samosas and why it has become one of my favourite frozen foods.
How Long To Cook Frozen Samosa In Air Fryer?
The air fryer samosa cooking time is 6 minutes. This is because they are not very thick and when you buy them frozen, the filling in the centre of your samosa is already cooked.
Then for the samosa in air fryer temperature we recommend 180c/360f.
How Do You Reheat Frozen Samosas In Air Fryer?
Do you want to reheat your leftover samosas in the air fryer? Well, you are in luck because its very easy to reheat samosas.
Simply do the same thing as cooking them from frozen, but reduce the cook time to JUST 2 minutes.
Though remember, if they have a meat filling, they can only be reheated once.
