Air Fryer Frozen Chili Cheese Nuggets. We originally purchased frozen chili cheese nuggets from Lidi and today we would like to show you how to cook from frozen chili cheese nuggets in your air fryer.

Air Fryer Frozen Chili Cheese Nuggets
Drum roll please, we have cooked frozen chili cheese nuggets for the first time in the air fryer and OMG they were delicious.
Chili chicken nuggets are something that I tried for the first time at Burger King a few years ago. The hubby and I are not good with a lot of spice and was nervous over getting a nugget with the chili in the name. But as it was just a side, if we didn’t like chili cheese nuggets, we could just leave them.
We tried them and OMG we loved them, and Sofia adored them too. She loves anything with cheese, so it was a given.
I remember saying to Dominic wouldn’t it be nice to make chili cheese nuggets in the air fryer? Plus, it will be a lot less calories compared to deep fried.
Beyond Burger King we have not seen chili cheese nuggets anywhere since, well until Lidl did a Mexican theme recently. I was in there buying everything Mexican that I could find, and this included a box of chili cheese nuggets.
Excitement couldn’t stop us, and we had them for lunch the same day we bought them.
I would of course love to make them from scratch and eat them regularly, but sadly Mexican food has never taken off much here in Portugal. I have tried many times to source Jalapenos with no such look.
When Lidl does one of these special promotions, everything is gone in a day or two, but with the Mexican food it is still all there 10 days later, with hardly anyone buying it. That to me says that I will be lucky if we see a Mexican theme or some frozen chili cheese nuggets again!
Why Air Fryer Chili Cheese Nuggets?
For me it is mainly about the calories, but mostly because making your own chili cheese nuggets can be rather messy and its sourcing the different ingredients to make them with.
I have had the pleasure of trying both chili cheese nuggets at Burger King as well as cooking them in the air fryer from what I have purchased from Lidl. I have to say that cooking them in the air fryer is so much nicer.
Get yourself down to Lidl and buy yourself some frozen chili cheese nuggets as you will not regret it and they taste so GOOD.
How To Cook Chili Cheese Nuggets In The Air Fryer?
Now this is the best bit. There is absolutely ZERO prep in cooking frozen chili cheese nuggets via the air fryer. Its just a case of waiting for the air fryer to beep and deciding on your favourite sauce to serve them with.
Cooked from frozen they only take JUST 8 minutes with a preheated air fryer. Then you can serve them with your favourite sauces. I recommend a nice salsa as it goes so well with Mexican appetizers.

Air Fryer Frozen Chili Cheese Nuggets
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 180c/360f.
- Place the frozen chili cheese nuggets into the air fryer basket.
- Cook for 8 minutes and serve.

As an American from New Mexico I miss Mexican food a lot. New Mexican food is something people here have never heard of at all. I love chili bites with green chili and yes I buy them at BK and bought them at the Lidl when I saw them there. But…. you can also buy them at the Makro. Made by McCain. They also sell Mozarella sticks, another food I miss dearly.
