  1. Hi, how would you change the cook time if you have defrosted haddock and fresh potatoes not frozen? I have a Philips XXL brand new that I’m dying to use. Thanks!

    1. Hi Kristan,

Sorry i am late with my reply. We have the Philips XXL now and the one thing we keep saying is it cooks things alot quicker because of its size. So i would half cook the fries depending on how many people you are cooking for and with them been fresh potatoes i would give them 10 minutes then add the fish if you are cooking them together for a further 8 minutes.

The problem been when shaking the fries you would shake the fish as well so best to turn the fish after 4 minutes and turn the fries over with a spoon.

Hope this helps and you happy cooking with your new air fryer 🙂

Wow they turned out perfect. Used some frozen fish from Sainsbury’s and can’t believe how crispy the fish was.

That “small seaside town in the North of England” wouldn’t happen to have been Whitby, would it? I had the best fish and chips of my life when we visited there on a trip to the UK. So fresh and so perfect! It was in a little place across the harbor from the abbey. Though I suppose any seaside town would do it brilliantly.

Thanks for this recipe! It’s a great solution! I used tilapia in a Ninja Foodi, but I look forward to trying other things as well.

    1. Hi Roxane,

We know exactly where you are talking about as that is one of favourite places to get fish and chips from a dn we usually grab them and then drive up to the North Yorkshire Moors and sit in the country side and eat them, they were perfect.

The actual town we are talking about is called Bridlington about 20 miles south of Whitby where we used to live and we will be moving back over there next year, the hubby cannot wait for some decent fish and chips 😉

      Thank you very much!
