Lamb Chops In Air Fryer
I am obsessed with my local butchers. Yes, I have a butcher in my local town, but choose to travel the 20 minutes by train to Smith’s Butchers.
That is because they are super helpful and help me with everything. Such as translating US meat cuts to the UK and vice versa and doing me many meats to order for new recipes on Recipe This.
Their sausages are amazing (I think they have won awards for them?) and they do different flavours, and they air fry so well.
Plus, I hate the fact that many other local butchers don’t have a gorgeous window display that makes you want to go in and buy their meat.
Last week, I headed to the butchers by train with my beautiful daughter Sofia. We did all our favourite charity shops on the way, and then went to collect our order for lamb chops.
We had ordered a big bag of lamb chops and had asked for the best looking ones for updating my air fryer lamb chops recipe and they didn’t disappoint one bit.
Today, I am sharing with you our recipe for lamb chops in the air fryer using the best lamb chops from the butchers.

And it got me thinking……
It would be boring if we all had air fried lamb chops the same.
So, note that you can do lamb chops how you want them:
Well Done Lamb Chops – My 18 year old self would have loved well done lamb chops. Then I married a chef and he weaned me off everything being well done and that pink was good. If you do want well done lamb chops, then do an extra 4 minutes of cook time.
Air Fryer Thick Lamb Chops – If your lamb chops are thick, then I recommend adding an extra minute on each side. My lamb chops are medium lamb loin chops so you need to adjust if yours are extra thick.
Air Fryer Thin Lamb Chops – Or if you are thin, then I recommend taking off a minute on each side to adjust for this.
You can also cook either air fryer lamb loin chops or air fryer lamb shoulder chops.

- No need to add oil to your lamb chops. Lamb is naturally a fatty meat and really doesn’t need it.
- You can use any cut of lamb chops but because of the fat content lean lamb loin chops stop the air fryer from smoking.
- You can keep the garlic cloves and use them for other cooking afterwards or serve them the Mediterranean way with your lamb chops.
- You can mix and match the seasonings. I find that rosemary and thyme along with garlic is the best combination.
Top Air Fryer Trick – Turn the lamb chops at the halfway mark. It will give your lamb chops a fantastic even cook and gives you the chance to season both sides of your lamb chops.
