Soft Boiled Eggs In Air Fryer
I originally shared with you our soft boiled eggs back in 2018. They were together with air fryer hard boiled eggs and because we have now made a video for each, we have decided to separate them into two recipes.
So today, is all about soft boiled eggs in air fryer and tomorrow is all about hard boiled eggs in air fryer.
Did you grow up on soft boiled eggs? I know I did. Whether it was a Saturday brunch my mum did or made by my grandma they were always a traditional thing.
You had your own special egg cup that was yours and you can guarantee that there were several rounds of toast chopped into soldiers to dunk into your dippy eggs.
Though, we now live in a world of Keto and low carb and you can now enjoy soft boiled eggs with carrot sticks or cucumber sticks instead of toast.
Can You Make Soft Boiled Eggs In Air Fryer?
I always get asked repeatedly if you can make soft boiled eggs in the air fryer.
Well, it’s a big fat YES. You can cook soft boiled eggs in the air fryer.
I believe people doubt it because we all associate egg cooking with a pan of boiling water on the stovetop or hob.
However, the air fryer cooks soft boiled eggs perfectly and without any water. You literally throw the eggs in and then come back later when it beeps to perfectly cooked soft boiled eggs.
Philips Air Fryer Soft Boiled Eggs
When we make air fryer soft boiled eggs, we are doing so with our Philips Air Fryer XL.
But did you know that Philips created the first air fryer back in 2010 and their air technology is often more powerful than others?
In fact, it is so powerful I don’t use their Philips Air Fryer XXL in recipes because we find it’s done 2-3 minutes quicker than other brands of air fryers. It’s fantastic and I love it, but when someone is using a different air fryer the cook times are way off.
Why am I telling you this? Because soft boiled eggs when cooked in a different air fryer to the one that you are reading about, might need a cook time adjustment.
I have seen air fryer soft boiled eggs cook times of between 6 minutes and 12 minutes, yet when I cook them in the Philips Air fryer XL 10 minutes is PERFECT.
But because just 1 minute over and under can change the outcome make sure your air fryer is NOT preheated.
What I suggest you do is experiment with your soft boiled eggs cook time. Start with 10 minutes and if they are too hard, then next time do 9 minutes. Then adjust to your needs.
Ninja Foodi Soft Boiled Eggs
If I were to cook soft boiled eggs in the Ninja Foodi, I wouldn’t use the air fryer and instead use the pressure cooker button. Pressure cooked soft boiled eggs have a cook time of just 2 minutes compared to 10 minutes in the air fryer.

How To Cook Soft Boiled Eggs In An Air Fryer?
Cooking soft boiled eggs in air fryer is one of the EASIEST EVER air fryer recipes.
- Load eggs into your air fryer basket.
- Air fry.
- Place into egg cups and quickly slice the tops off.
- Serve with soldiers.
There is a little bit more to air fryer soft boiled eggs, but that is the basics.
How Long Do You Cook Boiled Eggs In An Air Fryer?
To cook soft boiled eggs in the air fryer takes JUST 10 minutes. There is no preheat and then you have perfectly cooked boiled eggs for breakfast.
I love to have soft boiled eggs for breakfast because its so easy. I have cooked a lot of different air fryer breakfasts and none are as easy as this.
You can load them into your air fryer, get dressed and then come back on the beep.
