  1. Hello Samantha
    Love your website.
We live in Alberta, Canada and in our younger years we dreamed of retiring to Portugal (unfortunately we haven’t hit the lottery yet).
Would love to try your omlette but I do not have a baking pan. I have a Ninja Air Fryer – which I love. It has a removable plate or disk that provides the air flow. Below that is a teflon base. Clean up has always been a breeze so I’m wonderring if I can just make the omlette directly on the base?

    1. Hi Wendy,

Thank you for your kind comments.

You could make the omelette just in the inner pot but a few things to look out for as we have never done it. The omelette could stick onto the bottom quite badly if the coating has worn off at all and it would leave a horrible mess. You would also need to flip it half way through the cooking time to try and stop the sticking.

Let us know if you try it and how it has worked out please because we love to see new things cooked in different gadgets ????

Thanks to your website I have ventured into and now love air fryer cooking. This reminds me of one of my favorite Chinese dishes, Egg Foo Young. Would I use the same method to make that and if so, do you have a recipe for Chinese brown sauce?

    1. Hi Wendy,

Thank you very much for your kind words, we are really pleased you are finding the information on our blog useful and are really happy you are getting the most from your air fryer. As regards to Egg Foo Young i have not heard of it, but if it is an egg based dish and has vegetables in it i do not see why it cannot be done the same way. Also we do not know what a brown chinese sauce is, so if you would like to let us know what these dishes are we love to learn about food we have never heard of before 🙂

      Thank you!

I tried this just now with frozen chopped vegan sausages, frozen herbs from the garden, frozen grated vegan cheese, paprika sprinkled on top and used silicone pie ‘dish’. I will finely chop and freeze mixed peppers for next time (might even mix with the grated cheese/sausages/herbs so that it’s a ready mix). I ate it with tomato sauce/ketchup (but a bit of fresh salad would have been healthier, for brunch or lunch). Delicious! Thank you for all your generous info and replies. Glad you are back in UK as I can relate to that more 😉 Some of the supermarket delivery services have got their Xmas slots available btw (at least Waitrose has).

I’m interested in your air fryer Yorkshire puddings and will try those next 🙂

    1. Thank you for your kind words Tiffany, they are very much appreciated. I am really happy you are finding our website helpful and are trying some of our recipes 🙂

Thank you for the supermarket tip, i will be having a look 😉
