Let’s cook frozen bacon in air fryer. If you are in a hurry for air fryer bacon and only have frozen, forget defrosting your bacon first, let me show you how to cook frozen bacon in the air fryer to crispy perfection.
Perfect for last minute meals. I will also show you how to separate frozen bacon easily and get rid of any bits of packaging stuck to the bacon.
Earlier this year I showed you how to defrost bacon in the microwave. Perfect for those times when you have a last minute need for bacon (or maybe a craving) and want bacon fast to use at mealtimes.
But what if there was another way?
What if you want to cook the frozen bacon straight away and avoid any thawing of the bacon?
Then cook the bacon at the same time and then have crispy bacon on the dinner table.
You can then have it as just cooked bacon and make it into bacon butties or how about chopping up the bacon to use in one of our recipes? Such as air fryer bacon and egg pie, air fryer frittata, or how about for our slow cooker beef bourguignon.

Can You Cook Bacon From Frozen?
Yes, you can cook bacon from frozen. I have done this many times over the years and it is just as crispy and just as yummy as defrosted bacon or fresh bacon.
The only problem you have is making sure the bacon rashers are separated in order to do an even cook. But we will show you how to separate the slices of bacon.
Can You Air Fry Frozen Bacon?
Yes, you can air fry frozen bacon and once you try it, you will follow the air fryer frozen bacon method time and time again.
You can do a full pack of frozen bacon and load it into the air fryer whilst stuck together and then a few minutes later have perfect crispy air fryer bacon.
How To Separate Frozen Bacon?
The secret to separating bacon in the air fryer is to do it gradually. When I loaded my frozen bacon into the air fryer it looked like this:
Typical of frozen back bacon.
It still had some of its packaging stuck to it from the butchers.
I air fried the frozen bacon for a few minutes at a low temperature and then gradually removed a few of the slices at a time from each other until each of them had come apart.
It was a gentle process so that I didn’t break the rashers.
Then eventually you will have a plate of thawed bacon, that is slightly cooked around the edges and ready for loading back into the air fryer and air frying.
Can You Defrost In An Air Fryer?
Yes, you can. You can use the air fryer to defrost a lot of different foods in the air fryer. From frozen chicken to bacon to vegetables, it’s a great method if you need food defrosting fast.
Defrosting in air fryer is as simple as regular air frying. You just go to the lowest temperature your air fryer will do (60c for us) and cook at this temperature.
Can You Cook From Frozen Using An Air Fryer?

Among my favourites include air fryer frozen whole chicken, air fryer frozen lasagna, air fryer frozen burritos and let’s not forget about air fryer frozen smiley fries which was a childhood favourite of mine.

Frozen Bacon Air Fryer Ingredients
Bacon – I recommend one pack of frozen bacon from the freezer. You can then use the air fryer to help you separate the bacon rashers as well as air frying them for you.
Tongs – I highly recommend using some kitchen tongs. Its rather hot on the fingers as the bacon heats through when you are turning the bacon and separating it for its defrost.
Then for the kitchen gadgets that we have used in this frozen bacon air fryer recipe it has just been our Philips Air Fryer. We have this one and its wonderful for many types of air fryer recipes.
Plus, we recommend you head over to our air fryer recipes category as we have more than 500 tried and tested air fryer recipes and have been air frying for 10 years.

We recommend a bacon air fryer time of 20 minutes. This is made up of 8 minutes to defrost bacon in the air fryer, plus another 12 minutes to create crispy back bacon.
Though of course, is you are doing crispy streaky bacon, its much smaller than back bacon and can be done with 4 minutes less on the final cook.

Bacon that has been cooked is good for up to 4 days in the fridge. But the fresher it is, the nicer it will taste.
