Air Fryer Loaded Fries. Whether you love air fryer sloppy joe’s fries, air fryer loaded taco fries, or air fryer chili fries, we will show you how to cook both the loaded toppings and the fries in the air fryer.
Air Fryer Sloppy Joes Fries
Our air fryer loaded fries started off as air fryer sloppy joe’s fries, that we originally shared with you back in the winter of 2016. Since then we have become obsessed with so many different types of loaded fries that we have combined them for you today.
I have always been a huge fan of mince or like our American readers call it ground meat.
Earlier this year I became obsessed with cooking ground beef in the air fryer too.
After all, who wants to spend ages stood over a stove when you can load it into the air fryer and let the air fryer do the hard work!
You can then use the air fryer to cook all kinds of ground minced beef recipes. Such as air fryer taco pie, air fryer chili cheese dogs or just for making air fryer chimichangas.
The idea for air fryer sloppy joe’s fries started many years ago on a whim after having some spare ground beef and some spare potatoes that needed using up.
It was back in 2014. Kyle was at school, Sofia was a baby and not on solids, so it was just lunch for Dominic and me.
While he was working in the office, I surprised him with a round of air fryer Sloppy Joe’s fries and he loved them.
It felt like that scene from Friends:
- Meat GOOD
- Fries GOOD
- Cheese GOOD
This started my obsession with using up leftover potatoes and not just making fries but making fries that are loaded with delicious toppings.
Perfect for the night before grocery shopping to use up what you have leftover and to make a nice meal from little ingredients.
You can load up your fries with whatever you have in and it doesn’t have to be limited to ground beef. Though ground beef, cheese and fries do taste AMAZING.
Air Fryer Loaded Fries
What I like about making air fryer loaded fries, is that you cook fries in the air fryer first, until they are almost cooked and then load your fries with your favourite toppings.
You could eat air fryer loaded fries every day, change the toppings everyday and still not get bored of them.
My 5 favourite air fryer loaded fries are:
- Air Fryer Cheesy Chips
- Air Fryer Pizza Chips
- Air Fryer Taco Fries
- Air Fryer Chili Fries
- Air Fryer Sloppy Joe’s Fries
Best of all if you want chili fries or taco fries, make a spicier version of our sloppy joe’s.
Or another great idea, is when you are reheating your air fryer fries, you can add the toppings as you reheat and it’s a great use of any leftovers you have from a takeaway.
Where To Buy Ground Beef?
We buy our ground minced beef in bulk and then load the minced beef into zip loc freezer bags and then get a pack of ground beef out whenever we need it.
If you like healthy ground beef such as grass fed, or grass finished then we recommend Butcher Box for this and I recommend you read our Butcher Box Review or use our Butcher Box Discount Codes.
Plus, their ground beef comes in perfect sizes to just throw back into the freezer after delivery.
Sloppy Joe’s In Air Fryer
It all starts with Sloppy Joe’s in the air fryer. It is so easy to make a simple homemade sloppy joe’s in the air fryer.
Start by loading your ground minced beef into the air fryer basket along with tinned tomatoes.
When it beeps add in seasonings, stir and you have your own air fryer sloppy joe’s recipe.
That simple.
Air Fryer Sloppy Joe’s Loaded Fries
Once you have made your sloppy joe’s it can sit on your kitchen worktop until you are ready for it.
It’s now time to make your fries that you will be loading with sloppy joe’s once cooked.
I like to use up leftover potatoes but can also follow our air fryer frozen French fries recipe and cook fries from frozen instead of fresh.
It can save you cooking time and reduce your prep down to ZERO.
Because I have a theme in mind, whether this is taco fries, sloppy joe’s or chili fries I will season my potatoes to the meal I am creating.
Season fries with paprika if I am going spicy or with oregano if I am making a sloppy joe version.
