When I see a pain au chocolat is takes me back to the best holiday I ever had.
Which was the summer of 2018. Me, the hubby and our 3 kids spent the summer camping around Europe.
We travelled to 8 countries in 8 weeks (England, Belgium, Holland, France, Germany, Luxemburg, Spain & Portugal) all whilst staying in a tent.

Yes, you can air fry frozen pain au chocolat and its delicious. The chocolate goes wonderfully gooey in the centre, and you also have a golden glow on your puff pastry too.

Pastries – I recommend you use a pack of 4 frozen pain au chocolat pastries from Iceland. They are uncooked and just made ahead for you to quickly cook from frozen. Though if you want to cook more air fryer baked goods at once, then I recommend batching.
Eggs – I also recommend for that amazing golden glow that you use a pastry brush and brush the pastry with egg wash.

How To Cook Pain Au Chocolat From Frozen?
- Load. Remove your frozen pastries from the packaging and place in the air fryer basket.
- Wash. Add your egg wash to the tops and sides of your puff pastry.
- Cook. Air fry for 8 minutes at 160c/320f followed by an extra 3 minutes at 200c/400f.
- Serve. Then serve in napkins for the classic French way.

- Egg Wash
- Remove your frozen pain au chocolat from its packaging and discard any flaky crumbs.
- Spread out in the air fryer basket and add egg wash.
- Air fry for 8 minutes at 160c/320f.
- Then add extra egg wash and cook for a further 3 minutes at 200c/400f if you would like your air fryer puff pastry extra golden.
