The Complete Air Fryer Cooking Guide

How often do you just want the time and temp quickly of something that you are planning to air fry.

Even people like us, that have been air frying for 12+ years still want this. We cook so many different foods in the air fryer that sometimes our memory, just goes and we are thinking to ourselves bacon in air fryer time?

I was feeding just myself the other evening. Everyone else had eaten earlier, and I found myself in the freezer looking for a quick fix because I was feeling starving hungry.

I opted for some marinated salmon; it was one that I had forgotten about when we were recipe testing for our air fryer marinades. I also found some frozen prawns and thought they would be delicious and could have some in each drawer.

In my mind I knew the time and temp, but found myself looking on the fridge, checking out our air fryer cooking times guide to confirm with myself exactly how long for both frozen salmon fillets and frozen prawns.

That is EXACTLY what this beautifully designed air fryer cooking times chart can do for you. You can use it to confirm quickly a time and temp for yourself that you think you know but you want to double check. Or it’s a food you don’t cook very often in the air fryer, and you just want to load it up and forget about it.

Another example is a fellow school mum at my kid’s school. I have been slowly weaning her in the direction of the air fryer over the last year or so. She has helped us enormously with making this air fryer cooking times chart. She would ask me how long to cook something in the air fryer, and I found that these are some of the items I added, because I realised, they were the everyday foods we all want to just throw in the air fryer for dinner.

Air Fryer Cooking Times Chart UK

Air Fryer Cooking Times Chart UK

My biggest target in our air fryer cooking times chart is that it was 100000% UK friendly. I had noticed some on sale in the UK and they all had imperial measurements, food names that you wouldn’t use in the UK and no Celsius.

With our air fryer cook times we have made sure it is UK friendly, but also friendly for our readers on the other side of the ocean too and include:

  • Measurements in both metric and imperial
  • Food that everyone knows and loves
  • Most popular air fryer foods of all time
  • Celsius and Fahrenheit

How Does The Air Fryer Times & Temps Work?

Now this is what I find truly fascinating. Its like a small calendar. That’s the best comparison I can give.

It has a hook like a calendar has, and you also flip it over like you would with a calendar.

Then for overall size its like a slightly bigger size to a desktop calendar.

These are the measurements of our air fryer time chart:

There is the magnetic strip which is my favourite part of its beautiful design. On the back you have a big area, where the magnetic strip sticks to and then this is what allows it to stick to your fridge so well.

Though when you get delivery of your cooking times for air fryer, it will be covered in a sealed plastic wrap, then you will have the chart itself and the magnetic strip for you to add yourself.

We teach you when to flip, shake and spray your air fryer food. There is often confusion over which food needs flipping, what needs a shake and what needs extra oil adding.

As you can see from the beautifully coloured chapters above, we are separating it into the following:

  • Breakfast – This includes some of my favourite air fryer breakfast staples including bacon, bagels, croissants, different types of eggs, sausages and of course toast.
  • Fish & Poultry – Starting with the typical fish options such as salmon, fish fillets and prawns/shrimp and then jumping into the poultry chapter. Lots of chicken to choose from here from chicken breast to legs to drumsticks to breaded. We also have plenty of turkey along with duck.
  • Meat – We start with roasts, then talk burgers and hot dogs before meatballs and meatloaf. Of course, there is a section dedicated to air fryer steak, along with your lamb favourites and plenty of pork.
  • Vegetarian & Reheating – We kickstart this section of our air fryer timings with cheese, falafels, tofu and of course veggie sausages and veggie burgers. Then comes reheating which covers a lot of your favourites. From reheating your takeaway leftovers to warming up food you have bought fresh that you prefer warm. Also, in the reheat section we also have a little section dedicated to canned food. Including air fryer canned potatoes, chickpeas, sweetcorn, lentils and a few other favourites.
  • Potatoes & Vegetables – Next on the agenda is the potatoes, who doesn’t love potatoes in the air fryer and this is perfect for the times when you quickly want to know how long to air fry fries, or roast potatoes, or baby, or cubed and of course the list goes on. Then veggies are made up of all the popular vegetables to cook in the air fryer. Starting with asparagus but also featuring a lot of them you cook in different sizes too for example carrots can take a while in the air fryer so we have the times and temperatures for 3 different sizes.
  • Frozen – Then for the final chapter we are talking all about frozen food in the air fryer. We have frozen food favourites, we have potatoes too and plenty of pastries, meatballs and all the other ones you could think of.

Using Our Air Fryer Cooking Time Chart

I love the fact, that I get to be the first one to use the air fryer cooking time chart in real life. That I get a copy months before it goes on sale. Because even though I have been using the air fryer for years, there are so many different foods I cook in it, that its nice to have the confirmation that I am right with the time and temp it needs.

Last week, everyone had been fed before me and I just wanted some seafood in the air fryer.

I choose some frozen salmon fillets I had that we in one of our air fryer marinades. I also knew there would be some excess marinade, so wanted to also air fry some frozen king prawns/shrimp to go with it.

I turned to the frozen chapter of the air fryer time and temp chart and learnt that:

The salmon would take 15 minutes at 180c/360f and the prawns would take 8 minutes at 160c/320f. I then used the sync feature on my Ninja Air Fryer Dual and everything was ready quickly together.

The biggest benefit is not having to visit a website or even have your phone with you in the kitchen. A quick flick through to the frozen chapter and I was sorted.

Sausage butties for breakfast – This is another great example. Using our favourite chipolatas sausages and part baked bread, we quickly put together sausage butties for breakfast.

I didn’t have to check out our air fryer sausages recipe or our air fryer part baked bread recipe. Instead I could glance at the breakfast chapter and have things in the air fryer really fast.

Pork chops for dinner – this is another great. If you just want some pork chops for dinner. You know how you plan to season them and you just want to know the time and temp!

Though of course, you might also want them with some air fryer baby potatoes and some air fryer asparagus. Well, that is no problem as you will find the other time and temps in the potato and then veggie chapter.

Pigs in blankets for your Sunday dinner – Or let’s talk about the Sunday roast. In this air fryer times and temps guide we feature some of your favourite roasts, the potatoes, the veggies, the stuffing balls and of course the air fryer pigs in blankets. Then if you have followed our air fryer roast dinner recipes before and have just forgotten the times and temps, you have quick access.

Love your leftovers – We haven’t forgotten about your leftovers either. We will show you how to reheat your leftover stew, or how to heat up a ready meal from the supermarket. Or what we love to do is reheat leftover stew and also cook dumplings in air fryer at the same time. Now that is delicious.
