10 minutes later we had both instant pot rice pudding cooking and slow cooker rice pudding cooking.
Side by side like two peas in a pod and the Milner kitchen smelt of beautiful old fashioned rice pudding.

Risotto Rice Pudding In Slow Cooker
Others will want to know what rice to use when making rice pudding. Many refer to it as pudding rice. But really pudding rice is the same as risotto rice. Just grab a bag of risotto rice from your local supermarket and use that when making rice pudding.
Also, often rice labelled as risotto rice is cheaper than brands that sell it as pudding rice.
Vanilla Rice Pudding In Slow Cooker
We love to add vanilla to our rice pudding, and it gives it a lovely flavour. But what we found is that vanilla rice pudding cooked in the slow cooker was more flavoursome than the instant pot.
This is because the slow cooker keeps the flavour and is not diluted like a pressure cooker is.
If you don’t like vanilla rice pudding as much as us, I would recommend halving the vanilla.

Love a rice pudding and never thought about the slow cooker to make it and this was delicious the only thing missing was the thick skin that developed on the top in an oven but this was nice.
The rice was cooked perfectly and this is so nice for a dessert after on a Sunday after your big lunch.
Made it yesterday. Love it. Will halve it the next time. There are only two of us—my spouse and me.
