Can You Cook Two Things At Once In The Instant Pot?

Yes, you can cook two things at once in the instant pot, and you have so much choice with what you can make.

A great example is making an instant pot shepherd’s pie or the beef alternative, an instant pot cottage pie.

You pressure cook the minced lamb below and then the potatoes cook for the mash above and it’s a genius time saver.

You can also do the same with instant pot lamb shanks or instant pot bangers and mash.

Plus, as well as our extremely popular instant pot mini course which teaches you the instant pot basics in 5 days, we also have our instant pot bucket list. That is loaded with 30 FREE bucket list worthy instant pot recipes.

What Is PIP Instant Pot Cooking?

So, you loved the idea of the shepherd’s pie in the instant pot, but are still wondering what on earth PIP instant pot cooking is?

Well, lets go back a step and talk about what is PIP cooking.

It simply means that when you cook something in the instant pot, you are cooking inside a food container that is inside the instant pot inner pot.

That might be like our instant pot haggis neeps and tatties using the 3 part insert, or might be more basic like the dish used to make our instant pot box cake.

But most importantly it is a great way to cook multiple items at once and to make instant pot PIP dinners.

And I am sure these instant pot dinner recipes have given you plenty of ideas to roll out at home in your instant pot.
