Frozen Pancakes

Have you ever made too many pancakes? I have typical kids that are starving hungry, then you make them some pancakes and they are suddenly full and you have all this pancake batter or freshly made pancakes that need eating.

I believe it happens to us all.

Just like when your kids demand a full fruit bowl and eat the fruit one week and then the next week you end up with loads of brown bananas.

Well, this is when frozen pancakes become the game changer. You can make all those pancakes, then lay your pancakes onto a tray in the freezer and freeze your leftover pancakes.

Then the next day you have frozen pancakes that you can load into a zip loc bag.

And no wasted pancakes again, plus when the kids next ask for them you can cook frozen pancakes in the air fryer.

This is of course, just one type of frozen pancake that you can air fry, frozen packs of them that you have bought from the supermarket also work in the exact same way.

Can You Freeze Pancakes?

Yes, you sure can. Like I mentioned above, you can place cold cooked pancakes onto a baking tray and freeze them.

Then once the pancakes are frozen, place them into a Ziploc bag as they will then NOT stick together and you can then reheat them from frozen.

Can You Put Frozen Pancakes In The Air Fryer?

Yes, you can put frozen pancakes in the air fryer. They are delicious and are just as fluffy and yummy as pancakes that you can have just made from scratch.

The air fryer is also fantastic for keeping your pancakes warm too, in case you are not quite ready to eat them yet.

Best Way To Heat Up Frozen Pancakes?

The best way to heat up frozen pancakes is with the air fryer. The air fryer makes your frozen pancakes so beautifully fluffy again and adds a little crisp to the texture too.

But if you are in a hurry to reheat your pancakes, the microwave is a quicker option and you can reheat pancakes in the microwave in JUST 90 seconds.

Best Frozen Pancakes To Buy?

If you are not reheating your own frozen pancakes, then the best brand is Birdseye. They make amazing frozen foods and I love Birdseye pancakes in the air fryer.

Though you might have your own favourite pancake brand.

How Long Do Frozen Pancakes Last?

Frozen pancakes can last up to three months if stored in the freezer. Though once you have reheated your frozen pancakes, expect them to last a further 2 days.

    • Hi Paul,

These are on our list to try, sorry we have not done them yet, as a guess and see the size of them if you were wanting to try them before we do them put them in your air fryer on 6 mins 180c then check temp turn over and do 4 mins on 180c, as the packet says 10 mins in oven/grill so these times should be ok, if you find they are close to the 70c mark after 6 mins then just turn and do 2 mins 🙂
