Slimming World Gravy

Yesterday I shared with you that we finally have slimming world sausages here in Portugal and the excitement of trying them for the first time ever in the air fryer.

But what I didn’t tell you yesterday, is that on the same day, I bought slimming world gravy.

I have never seen slimming world gravy before and it looks amazing. As someone that always makes their own homemade gravy, it will be a first for me to try a shop bought. But I love a challenge and I love trying new things.

The slimming world onion gravy was bought frozen in a little tub and I defrosted it for you and wanted to show you how to use slimming world gravy from Iceland along with slimming world chips to make a delicious plate of chips and gravy in the air fryer.

How Many Syns In Gravy?

The Slimming World gravy that I purchased from Iceland is syn free. This means that you don’t need any syns to enjoy it.

Also, because I am pairing the syn free gravy with slimming world chips you have a real treat in store.

Slimming World Chips & Gravy

You are probably wondering why slimming world chips and gravy?

In my early teens my mum would take me shopping and we would have lunch. There was a café we loved to go to. They served the best chips and gravy, and I would often have a warm sausage roll too.

It was amazing and a real comfort food favourite and I always looked forward to eating there.

It got me thinking that if we can have our chips in the air fryer why not our sauce?

I’m not just talking about gravy here, but curry sauce, beans, mushy peas with our fish and chips and other favourites.

After getting the slimming world gravy out of the freezer, the plan was to cook them both together and below is how I pulled it off and my final verdict.

How To Air Fry Slimming World Chips & Gravy?

slimming world chips and gravy step by step

This is how to cook slimming world chips with gravy using the air fryer:

  1. Load chips into the air fryer basket.
  2. Air fry.
  3. Add gravy into a ramekin.
  4. Toss the chips in salt and vinegar.
  5. Add chips and gravy to the air fryer.
  6. Air fry + serve.

You can probably see now why I am so obsessed with cooking in the air fryer!

Air Fryer Ramekins

As I am sure you have gathered, you will need some air fryer ramekins to follow this recipe. It doesn’t matter what they look like, how old they are, if they are scruffy, just as long as they are good for a quick reheat of gravy.

You can also use them for all kinds of sauces and gravies.

Then the ramekin will air fry with your other food like this:

Also note, that even though I am cooking chips and gravy together, you can of course just fill a ramekin of gravy on its own and not bother with the chips.

Or maybe it is fish night, and you want to do a ramekin of mushy peas, well this can be done too.

What To Serve With Slimming World Chips & Gravy?

Before we jump into cooking slimming world chips and slimming world gravy together in the air fryer, I wanted to tell you more about the slimming world chips.
