Is it really 2019 already? It only feels like 5 minutes since 2018 started. Back at the beginning of 2018 I was still breastfeeding and weighing in at 15 stone. Though like most people in January I was ready to shift all that unwanted weight.
Now a year on I am not at my 10 stone target but I am closer to it than I am to 15 stone and that feels good. I also nearly fit into all my old clothes and that is the best feeling ever.
I ate a lot of delicious healthy food, like these pitta pizzas made from wholemeal pitta breads, as well as this making sure that I averaged out at least 10,000 steps a day on my FitBit.
I am sure there will be many people like me today. Starting the New Year and thinking about their diet and how they donโt want to give up their favourite foods and that is why I am sharing with you today my Syn Free Pitta Pizza In The Air Fryer.
Syn Free Pitta Pizza

What kills me with the diet is the lack of cheese. I need cheese in my life and I always feel like something is missing when I go a day or two without any.
My Slimming World Pitta Pizzas are perfect because they only use healthy extras, this of course keeps them SYN FREE.
It also rather simple too.
One slice of cheese and 1 pitta bread per person and then you instantly know that each pitta pizza uses up a single healthy extra A and B.
You can also chop them up so that you can have 2 pitta pizzas with one healthy extra or just keep them as they are. I prefer them as they are as they fill me up and I donโt need to mess about weighing anything or worrying about Syns.
Air Fryer Pitta Pizza

The wonderful air fryer can cook pitta pizza perfectly. You can just load up a plain pitta bread with all your favourite pizza toppings and hey presto you have a delicious pitta pizza.
In this pizza pitta air fryer recipe, I am showing you how to do this with a classic garlic cheese pizza topping. This is perfect because then you can swap it for whatever pizza topping that you love.
If pepperoni is your thing then add some pepperoni slices on top. Or if you love ham and cheese then add some sliced ham.
It can be like your own perfect pitta pizza decorating competition at home.
Or even better, why not do this with your kids and their friends when they come home for dinner? Youโll be the best mum ever if you serve something up that tastes this good! Plus, the other mums will think youโre amazing as you have made their kids something healthy.

Helpful Tools For Making Our Pitta Pizzas
The Philips Air Fryer โ Letโs start with the air fryer. The air fryer makes pizza bases that are made from pitta bread so crispy. You could close your eyes and think you were eating a real pizza at Pizza Hut it just tastes that good.
The Air Fryer Grill Pan โ I love my Air Fryer Grill Pan and out of my Air Fryer Accessories it is my personal favourite. Forget all that scrubbing of the air fryer basket when you have one of these. Plus, you donโt have to worry that your melted cheese has stuck to the basket.

If you click on the banner below you can access all our recommended air fryer accessories that you should invest in for your air fryer:
Blender โ I hate eating unhealthy food (well unless I have Ben & Jerryโs) and love to quickly make my own tomato sauce compared to buying one ready made. That way you know exactly what ingredients are going into your pitta pizzas. Blenders are useful for a wide range of other recipes too.
Pastry Brush โ Itโs the cheap things that make perfect little kitchen accessories. I love my pastry brush and its perfect for adding a layer of pizza sauce to the pitta breads. You get a perfect level pasting and they are useful for so many recipes.
Wholemeal Pitta Breads โ I also recommend some quality wholemeal pitta breads. The ones I used I bought from Iceland. As you can see, they were on reduced and I managed to get a full pack for 75 cents.

If you want to make them later and find lots of pitta bread on reduced, then I recommend you freeze them in their packaging. Simply remove them from the freezer as and when you want to make pitta pizza.
