This looks insanely good – plus i have not tried chickpeas without oil yet and will make them like this today for lunch.

I must admit that I’ve never thought of cooking chickpeas in the air fryer before. But it certainly looks good! ????

God bless the fact that this is oil-free. I follow the plant based diet and this is perfect for me. Adding to next week’s meal plan!! ????????????????

Hi do we put the ramekins in the air fryer?
Thank you for the recipe I am excited to try it out with my son!

    1. Hi Hazel,

You can do either. I use ramekins if i want to do different flavours at the same time. Such as doing one lot with mexican seasoning and another lot with lemon pepper. But if you are doing just one type then just load them directly into the air fryer basket.

Thanks we tried it! It’s our new favourite vegan snack I love that my children fight over who get to make them!

  6. What am I doing wrong? They are dry, uninteresting and not a crunch in sight. Cooked. In a Ninja Food Mini at your temperatures and timings on survival setting

    1. Hello Ann,

The chickpeas will be quite dry and that is ok for chickpeas but not over dry. We have not used a Ninja Foodi mini so cannot say how it cooks and also we have never come across a survival mode on any air fryers we have tried 🙂

  7. The recipe gives 2 different cooking times for the second stage. One says 3 minutes at the top of the page and total time of 8 minutes (5 minutes for the first stage, 3 for the second) and the recipe at the bottom says 5 minutes for the second stage also. Which is right?
