Morphy Richards 48822 Black Soupmaker

Welcome to my Morphy Richards 48822 Black Soupmaker Review. Expect to be taken into soup maker heaven…..

When I first suggested to Dominic the idea of buying a soup maker he thought I was mad. He simply said we wouldn’t get enough use out of it and that it would end up like a lot of kitchen gadgets where they end up stuck in a cupboard and often forgotten about.

I am always one for proving him wrong and I went ahead and bought it. Since then have not looked back and it had become the god of our kitchen.

So let’s talk soup makers for a quick minute or two.

The history of us at Recipe This & our soup machine

soup maker

Let’s rewind back to last year. More specifically to November……. I was heavily pregnant with my daughter Sofia and it felt like the perfect time to get a soup maker.

I knew I would soon want to eat lots of soup to get my body back, to make soups for Sofia once I was weaning her and our food steamer had just broken and the soup machine did it all.

I also knew that soup always seemed to take me forever to make and yet with a soup machine I could have it prepared and have blended soup in less than half an hour.

This was clearly a gadget that I really needed!!!!

Since then we have used it on average 8 times a week and would be lost without it!

Why get the Morphy Richards Soup Maker?

I love the simplicity of the Morphy Richards 48822 Black Soupmaker. I can prepare my vegetables and seasonings (only takes a couple of minutes) turn it on and 25 minutes later I have blended soup.

The soup maker does all the work for me so that I don’t have to. It saves me a lot of washing up as instead of having pans, blenders and loads of utensils to sort out. Instead you just have this simple jug to clean and your chopping board. I find that a good rinse and some washing up liquid is all you need.

I have two shelves in my kitchen and it sits on the top one. This works well because it is so light and then the steam can escape upwards rather than filling our kitchen with it.

Thanks to the blending and steaming it can do; you can also use it to steam meat, fish and vegetables. Also you can use it for making sauces.

In terms of getting yourself one of these Morphy Richards Soup Makers you can get yours by clicking here. If I were to do it again and/or if I were to currently recommend a soup machine to you, I would say CHOOSE THIS ONE.

Unfortunately if you’re based in the United States it wont be available to you, in which case I personally recommend the Cuisinart Blend & Cook Soup Maker.

The Infographic

I have put together a great infographic to show you even more information about the soup maker and how it has personally helped us in the kitchen:
