I remember when we got our first instant pot back in 2016, watching my husband do the water test. I was intrigued by the idea that you had to load it with water and take it to pressure before you could use it and wondered what other quirky weird things you had to do.

Well, that was me as an instant pot beginner, wondering about this new kitchen gadget that was taking the world by storm.

I notice that many people have an instant pot sat in the box because the water test freaks them out so much.
