Air Fryer Oven Recipes
Let’s talk air fryer ovens and the type of air fryer that there is the BIGGEST lack of help for.
I had my first air fryer oven back in 2019 and have loved it ever since for its ability to cook delicious rotisserie food, traybakes and then you can use the shelves lack they are your own air fryer basket.
But of course, because they take some more getting used to, compared to other air fryers, they are lacking popularity.
Then of course, people will only make products for something that is popular and going to give you a great ROI.
So of course, this has led to not a single air fryer oven recipe book of quality.
Instead, the internet is littered with self-published rubbish that doesn’t even feature the air fryer oven.
So, I had a plan….
Our Air Fryer Oven Cookbook Chapter
Many of our readers follow our air fryer basket recipes whilst having an air fryer oven and say its very easy to adapt to the oven.
Whilst others are overwhelmed with the air fryer oven.
Plus, the air fryer oven doesn’t have a big enough audience on its own for a publishing house to make one.
So, we came up with the idea of an air fryer oven chapter.
A chapter just dedicated to the air fryer oven, and this is what the chapter opener looks like.
In the oven air fryer recipes chapter, it is dedicated to:
- Showing you how to use the air fryer oven
- How to convert any air fryer basket recipe to the air fryer oven
- Air fryer rotisserie recipes
- Air fryer kebabs
- Air fryer traybakes
We also have lots of feedback from our air fryer oven readers and most admit to never using the rotisserie feature as they just don’t have the confidence or know where to start.
The rotisserie is our favourite part with so many meats you can cook like this. Its truly delicious and you will enjoy every bite.
The kebabs are similar to using the rotisserie. Just think any of your favourite kebabs work well in the air fryer oven, but the award for best rotisserie kebab of all time goes to our chicken gyros which are legendary.
Traybakes are also a great or if you live in the US, you may call it a sheet pan dinner. We have these cute little oven trays that fit perfectly in the air fryer oven (buy them here). You can also mix and match with favourite recipes.
What Is The Difference Between Air Fryer & Air Fryer Oven?
An air fryer oven is a type of air fryer. You can get an air fryer basket, an air fryer single drawer, a flex drawer, a dual air fryer, and also the air fryer oven.
I know it sounds confusing, doesn’t it?
I feel like shouting….CANT WE ALL JUST HAVE THE SAME…..
Just because it is hard work making a cookbook, like our Air Fryer Easy Everyday that takes into account so many types of air fryers and tries to make more and more air fryer types of customers, feel at ease with the air fryer they are using.
The air fryer oven is more like a mini oven. Some have 2 shelves, others have 3. They nearly all come with a rotisserie feature and a zillion buttons you will never use.
Because of the amount of shelves and volume of them, its like having 2.5 air fryer baskets.
But not all shelves are as good with the air circulation, therefore you have to learn a few beginner steps first, which we teach you in Air Fryer Easy Everyday.
What Is The Best Air Fryer Oven Cookbook For Beginners?
Air Fryer Easy Everyday is the best air fryer oven cookbook for beginners and this is why:
- It actually teaches you how to use the air fryer oven
- It covers the best types of recipes for the air fryer oven
- It explains how the air fryer oven works differently
- It shows you how to adapt other air fryer recipes to your air fryer oven
- It shares the best accessories to use in the air fryer oven
- It explains why you must swap the shelves around when cooking
Air Fryer Oven Recipes For Beginners
So, let’s talk all about what air fryer oven recipes for beginners are included in the oven chapter of Air Fryer Easy Everyday:
Let’s traybake first. If you are new to the air fryer oven or are struggling with air fryer oven recipes for beginners, then a great easy starting point is the traybake.
- Pork Tenderloin Traybake
- Shrimp Boil Traybake
Then we cook with the rotisserie. After showing you how to use the air fryer oven, then the delicious traybakes we will be explaining the rotisserie feature.
- Gammon/Ham
- Brazilian Picanha Barbecue
- Apple Cider Pork Shoulder
- Rotisserie Chicken
- Crispy Duck & Pancakes
- Chicken Gyros
- Rotisserie Kebabs (3 ways)
Then these beginner recipes for the oven air fryer can be used to be your master recipes and then you can think of how many other recipes you can make and rinse and repeat.
Air Fryer Easy Everyday Book Chapters
So that is the air fryer oven chapter, which is positioned between pantry and poultry but what else is there that you will love?
- Meal Prep – The opening chapter teaches you everything useful I know about meal prep. What I prep, favourite recipes to prep and to take the stress out of cooking. This also includes a few recipe requests from readers that we are so pleased to be including.
- Pantry – How often can you not make up your mind for what you are cooking for dinner. This is when a well-stocked pantry is amazing, because you can just grab and air fry. My favourite of this chapter, which takes me back to childhood is air fryer corned beef hash.
- Poultry – The poultry chapter is another favourite of mine. You loved our bacon wrapped chicken breasts in book 1 and we have an even better one for book 2. What you also wont know (behind the scenes cookbook stuff here) our delicious apricot chicken from this chapter was originally going to be in the air fryer oven chapter and was moved and this one just shouts out air fryer oven.
- Meat – Next on the agenda is the meat chapter with some of my favourites. We have meals for 1, 2 as well as bigger meals in this chapter and wait until you see what we do with a pork steak. Plus, who doesn’t love an air fryer doner kebab! Plus, for the doner kebab recipe we also have a flatbread recipe, so you can make the flatbread on one shelf and the doner meat on the other.
- Fish – The fish chapter doesn’t disappoint either with some fun ideas as well as some more classic recipes. We made the smoked salmon with potatoes and veg especially for a reader, and this one because it cooks in a foil tray, suits the air fryer oven.
- Vegetarian & Vegan – I always want to look after the vegetarian and vegans and as a former vegetarian, I love to cook meat and fish free. My favourite from this chapter is the mac and cheese. I mean who doesn’t love macaroni cheese? Plus, you can do it in a foil tray or in a casserole dish. Note the benefit of having an air fryer oven is you can fit in a larger casserole dish.
- Potatoes – I am calling this practical potatoes as they are all practical recipes for everyday cooking. All of the potato recipes I could eat everyday and we also have a time and temp chart to make the potatoes even easier to get the cooking times right on.
- Vegetables – I love vegetables in the air fryer and the more simple the better. We re-created our theme from book 1 of 4 simple veggies with 5 ingredients or less. Also, if you want you can use what you learnt about traybakes to do a tray of your favourite seasonal veggies.
- Dinners – We also have a fun theme with 7 days of different dinners. These are great for creating a full dinner in the air fryer, rather than feeling you can only make the meat, or just the sides. There are several from this chapter that are ideal for oven air fryer owners.
- Baking – We then end Air Fryer Easy Everyday with a baking chapter. Starting with savoury and then sweet you will love the mix of recipes. In book 1 we made chocolate cake, so for book 2 we are talking about a baked cheesecake, which is so yummy! We also show you how to make muffins in this chapter.
Front & Back Cover Reveal
We also have the front and back cover of Air Fryer Easy Everyday for you to check out.
Front – On the front you will see some beautiful pictures but what are those recipes? Well, we have Monday Pie from the 7 day dinners which is very frugal and perfect for saving money, chilli dogs from our pantry chapter, and we love the autumn salad we made. The salad was inspired by a local meal out and I just want to eat it over and over again. Then for your sweet treat on the front of the book we have shortbread with strawberries and cream.
Back – On the back cover we have a delicious vegan sweet potato, chickpea and spinach curry, plus if you look closely, you can see our homemade naan bread. We will be teaching you a simple air fryer dough you can use in many recipes. Very practical and money saving too.
We also have Dom’s fish burgers, a Spanish baby potatoes recipe and let’s not forget about the Oreo cheesecake, which as I mentioned earlier, is very easily adaptable for different types of air fryers.
Comparing The Different Air Fryers
In book 1 we had a chapter dedicated to everything you need to know about the air fryer. Since then, we have been known as the air fryer manual you never had.
We are continuing this into book 2 with even more useful information you need to know about different air fryers.
From how to use the dual differently to the flex drawer and comparing with air fryer baskets and air fryer ovens. By the end of it, you will know your air fryer stuff!

FAQ – Recipes For Air Fryer Oven
- Which air fryer ovens do you use? We made this recipe cookbook with mainly the Power Air Fryer Oven and the Tower Air Fryer Oven. Then during the recipe photoshoot, we were given another air fryer oven from a friend.
- How many recipes are inside? At the time of writing and as we finish planning what is going on each page, it 142 everyday air fryer recipes in this air fryer book.
- What types of recipes are they? Easy, everyday beginner friendly air fryer recipes. They are ideal if you are looking for an air fryer book that works with different models. There is also something for everyone and there are many dinner recipes included in this book, so don’t expect a book of air fryer snacks.
- Are your air fryer recipes healthy? Most of our air fryer recipes are healthy. But we have not gone out and decided to make a healthy air fryer recipe cookbook, it’s just that most air fryer recipes lend themselves to being healthy. Though of course, if you are on a diet, then you better stay away from the sweet treats section!
- What about gluten free? There are many, many, gluten free recipes and many dairy free recipes too. We haven’t done a final count of gluten free recipes, but we do expect it to be a high number of the recipes.
- What about full dinners? Yes, we have full meals all happening in the air fryer drawers. Forget just using the air fryer to make some potatoes, we are doing full meals. Such as our moussaka, enchiladas, pork steak dinner for one, chilli con carne, lamb roast and many others.
- Are there meals for one? Yes, we have several recipes that are for just one or two people, and recipes that are easy to scale up or scale down depending on how many people you are feeding. We also have some handy cooking for one tips too.
- Are they all new recipes? They are mainly new recipes, with some reader favourites included. For example, we have air fryer chilli con carne included, but we have made it better and adapted it for different air fryers.
- Are there recipe photos? Yes, there are plenty of gorgeous recipe photos and we also have plenty of step by step photos too. I hate recipe cookbooks when there are hardly any photos and in some cases none. You don’t have to worry about that, with most recipes featuring beautiful photos.
- Which air fryers have been used in the recipe testing process? We used our Philips Air Fryer XL (our favourite) the Cosori 5.7l, 3 different Ninja Dual Air Fryers, a small Salter air fryer for cooking for one, Tower Air Fryer Oven, The Power Air Fryer XL Oven and also some cheap supermarket air fryers.
- When will the air fryer cookbook be available? Air Fryer Easy Everyday became available worldwide on the 12th September 2024.
- Are the recipes imperial or metric? The air fryer recipes are both metric and imperial. If we did a book for each, then that would mean that in Canada they would have to share imperial with the US and this way you have the choice of both.
- How much did you cook for this cookbook? No idea, I just know that I cooked everyday for full days for a few months. Plus, we were always running several air fryers at the same time. We were also testing every recipe over several different air fryers. Then we also had recipe testers also testing it and then during the photo shoot for the cookbook photos, then recipes will be tested again during the process. I do know that we have gone through a lot of extra virgin olive oil and when you think most recipes call for just 1Tsp per serving, then you know a lot of food has been made!
- What happened to all the food you cooked? We ate some. The kids ate some. The recipe testers ate some. The neighbours ate some. I gave food away on Facebook to people in need and the dog took anything that fell onto the floor and loved it when we were testing the meat recipes.
- Can I order a copy of the cookbook now? Yes, you sure can. Click here for the US/Canada, then click here for the UK/Australia and the rest of the world.
