Rising agents for your dough

Pizza dough ingredients

  • ½ Tsp Salt
  • 1.5 Tsp Granulated Sugar
  • 500 g Plain Flour/All Purpose

Instructions

  • Start by placing the rising ingredients into your Thermomix in any order. Place the lid on the Thermomix and set it to warm up for 5 minutes at 60c and speed 1.

  • When the Thermomix beeps add in everything else and put the Thermomix back on again for another 5 minutes this time on medium on the kneading and dough setting.

  • You will now have a dough that is ready for proving.

  • Add a damp tea towel over the Thermomix to cover the top of it and then leave it to sit for about 30 minutes or until the dough has doubled in size.

  • Top firstly with your choice of pizza sauce followed by any preferred toppings. We smothered ours with grated cheese and cherry tomatoes. You can then cook your pizza or alternatively you can place your dough wrapped in cling film to the fridge or freezer for later.

Notes

Olive Oil. We highly recommend making your pizza dough with extra virgin olive oil. It makes such a difference to the pizza dough and its how they make it in Mediterranean countries.
