Cookie Dough Ice Cream Maker Recipe

Cookie Dough Ice Cream Maker Recipe. How to make your favourite Ben & Jerrys cookie dough ice cream using your ice cream maker. Not only is this Ben & Jerry’s copycat recipe amazing, but it is also much cheaper, fun to make at home and perfect for summer ice cream days.

Ingredients

Cookie Dough Ingredients:

Instructions

  • Follow my cookie dough recipe first using ½ the ingredients and instead of placing them into the air fryer, load onto a floured sheet pan. Load into the freezer in small cookie dough balls.
  • Using an electric hand mixer or a whisk beat together the egg yolks and the sugar until they are fluffy.
  • Heat milk and single cream in a small pan and add the vanilla essence.
  • Add the egg mixture to the pan and stir on a high heat for about 5 minutes.
  • Transfer the mixture to the fridge and allow to cool for at least an hour.
  • Load the vanilla ice cream mix to your ice cream maker and set it to 30 minutes.
  • After 30 minutes add in your grated chocolate and cookie dough chunks that have now been quartered.
  • Allow the ice cream maker to churn for 15 more minutes to nicely mix in the cookie dough.
  • Transfer to the freezer for an hour and then serve.

Notes

If you want your ice cream quicker, then I recommend 20 minutes in the freezer instead of 1 hour in the fridge.
If you want bigger cookie dough, then do not cut into quarters and add them whole. You can also more cookie dough balls depending on how much cookie dough you want in your ice cream.
