Place your prime rib on a clean chopping board and cut to size to fit your air fryer. If it is bone in, then also remove the bone which you can keep for beef stock, gravy, soup, stew etc.
Then smoother with extra virgin olive oil and then smoother with the seasonings. The dried seasonings will then stick to the oil and stay on the beef as it cooks.
Wrap in foil and place in the fridge overnight to marinade.
The next day remove the foil and load into the air fryer basket. If it’s touching the top too much push down with your fingers to stop the top of the rib roast from burning. Cook for 30 minutes at 180c/360f and don’t preheat the air fryer.
Turn over and cook for 20 minutes at the same temperature. It will now be a medium rare. Remove now if you would like medium rare.
For medium to well done turn the rib roast back over and cook for an extra 10 minutes at the same temperature.
Then transfer to a chopping board for resting before slicing and serving. Note your chopping board will be full of juices so you will want some kitchen towel ready.
