Microwave Grilled Cheese
Do you have a craving for an easy grilled cheese? Then let me introduce you to microwave grilled cheese. It is simple, it is delicious, and it is fast.
Place slices of bread on your bread board and spread margarine or butter over them. Then add a layer of sliced cheese.
Top the cheese with sliced tomatoes, followed by a sprinkle of dried basil and then cover with salad cream or mayonnaise.
Add the top layer of bread and place on a plate.
Add the plate to the microwave and microwave for 90 seconds to 2 minutes depending on your microwave wattage before serving.
Cheese. You can use any favourite cheese. We used red Leicester but double Gloucester, cheddar, edam or gouda would work well.
Wattage – The cook time for your grilled cheese will vary depending on your wattage. Our 800w microwave cooked the grilled cheese in 2 minutes.
