  • 1 Medium Cabbage
  • 1 Tbsp Butter optional
  • Salt & Pepper


  • Shred and clean your cabbage. Load into your steamer basket.

  • Place 2 cups of water (480ml) into your instant pot inner pot. Add in the trivet and the cabbage loaded steamer basket.

  • Season your cabbage with salt and pepper. Spread your butter out over the top of the cabbage.

  • Place the lid on the instant pot, set the valve to sealing and cook for 1 minute. Do a quick pressure release and stir your cabbage before serving.

Butter. To make buttered cabbage we simply add little blobs of butter over the cabbage. It will then cook with an even coating of butter.
