Instant Pot Turkey Gravy. How to make a delicious homemade turkey gravy in the instant pot. This gravy is delicious, healthy, and full of flavour. Even better this turkey gravy is 100% free of stock cubes, gravy granules and cornflour.

Instant Pot Turkey Gravy Ingredients:

  • Turkey Giblets
  • Turkey Neck
  • Leftover Turkey Drippings
  • 500 ml Turkey Stock/Bone Broth
  • 3 Large Carrots peeled and diced
  • 1 Tbsp Sage
  • 1 Tbsp Mixed Herbs
  • 1 Tbsp Bouquet Garni
  • Salt & Pepper


  • Load everything together into the instant pot inner pot. Place the lid on the instant pot, set the valve to sealing and cook for 45 minutes on manual/pressure cook. When the instant pot beeps, allow 10 minutes of natural pressure release and then manually release pressure.

  • Drain into a big sieve as this will quickly remove the big bones from everything else. Then the liquid you have left use a small mesh strainer to get rid of any tiny bones that are still amongst your liquid. Pick out the carrots and add the carrots to the liquid. Remove the meat from the turkey neck and add this in.

  • Using your preferred blender, blend the carrots and the stock until smooth. If it this not thick enough add in mashed potatoes. Though note, if using potatoes, it will have more of a healthy white sauce look, compared to with carrots which will look more natural.

  • Load into your gravy boat and serve. Or keep in the fridge for later if making ahead.

Optional. You can also add in extra shredded brown turkey for extra flavour. I usually use the turkey wings for this.
Turkey Neck. For me the best bit is the turkey neck. The meat is very juicy and is like turkey leg meat. I recommend you spend a minute or two shredding the turkey neck meat and using this in your gravy.
Save. Your leftover flavoursome turkey stock. It is amazing for using in any chicken or turkey or pork recipes. Place it into little foil containers like I do and load into the freezer for next time.
