Air Fryer Ham & Cheese Sandwich

Air Fryer Ham & Cheese Sandwich. How to make a homemade cheese and ham sandwich in the air fryer. Loaded with melted cheese, this is the perfect use of leftover ham. If you want to make a panini, toastie or other cheese sandwich in the air fryer, then this is how it is done.

Air Fryer Sandwich Recipe Ingredients:

  • 8 Slices Bread
  • 8 Slices Cheese
  • 200 g Ham
  • Butter optional


  • Butter a slice of bread.
  • Add a slice of cheese, ham, then another slice of cheese.
  • Place a cocktail stick in the top of the cheese to secure it.
  • Load into the air fryer and cook for 3 minutes at 200c/400f.
  • Remove the cocktail stick.
  • Add a slice a bread, add butter on top and air fry for a further 3 minutes at 200c/400f.
  • Serve.


You can mix and match fillings with what you have in your fridge. Leftover turkey, leftover chicken and leftover pork all work well.
If your cheese and ham sandwich is not crispy enough cook for another 2 minutes.
By adding the butter on top of the butter rather than under it helps keep the toastie crispy, just like a toastie machine does.
