Air Fryer Chicken Taquitos Ingredients:

  • Load your raw chicken into the air fryer and sprinkle with Mexican seasoning. Cook for 8 minutes at 180c/360f or until fully cooked. Allow to cool when done.
  • Shred your chicken and load into a bowl with salsa, grated cheese, soft cheese and the remaining Mexican seasoning. Mix well.
  • Fill 8 tortillas with your chicken filling and brush with egg wash.
  • Cook for 8 minutes at 180c/360f and serve.

If you want to make authentic chicken taquitos use corn tortillas or for flautas use flour tortillas.
We used a spare pack of butterflied chicken from the fridge. This was about the same as one medium chicken breast. Do use whatever you have in.
The cooking time for our chicken taquitos includes time to cook the chicken, but if you have leftover rotisserie chicken your time will be halved.
I like an extra bit of Mexican seasoning in my taquitos. I added half to the chicken as it cooked and half to the bowl to mix the filling. You can leave this out if you prefer.
You can use any grated cheese. Just make sure it is a cheese that melts well. Or if you can get it opt for Mexican cheese.
