Crack an egg into a small bowl and using a fork beat it until it resembles egg wash.
Remove the packaging from the frozen chicken pot pies but retain the silver foil pie tins.
Brush the top of the pot pies with egg wash.
Place the frozen pot pies in either the air fryer basket or the 2nd to top shelf of the air fryer oven.
Cook for 18 minutes at 160c/360f, followed by a further 2 minutes at 200c/400f.
Serve with your favourite sides.
Any medium sized frozen pot pies work well with the timings above. This could be air fryer frozen chicken pot pie (like we have done) or vegetable, mixed meat, beef, and so on.
Its also much quicker to make frozen chicken pot pies in the air fryer. The packaging stated 35 minutes in an oven and they only took 20 minutes in the air fryer.
Egg wash isn’t essential, but it gives your pot pies that wonderful homemade glow and adds a little extra to them and only takes a minute to do.
My favourite side dish to go with my air fryer frozen pot pie would be air fryer roast potatoes they are delicious.
