Soup Maker Tomato And Red Pepper Soup With Basil

Soup Maker Tomato And Red Pepper Soup. Loaded with fresh basil, fresh tomatoes, red pepper and tinned tomatoes, this is a delicious easy creamy tomato soup made in the Morphy Richards Soup Maker. This soup maker tomato and red pepper soup is also Slimming World friendly too.

Soup Maker Tomato & Red Pepper Soup Ingredients:

  • 6 Large Tomatoes
  • 1 Red Pepper
  • 3 Large Carrots
  • 1 Small Onion
  • Handful Fresh Basil
  • 3 Garlic Cloves
  • 400 g Tinned Tomatoes
  • 1 Tbsp Thyme
  • Salt & Pepper


  • Peel and dice the garlic, onion and carrot. Wash the fresh basil. Remove the cores and cube the fresh tomatoes.
  • Load everything apart from the fresh basil and the tinned tomatoes into the soup maker. Add 250ml of cold water.
  • Place the lid on the soup maker and cook for 28 minutes on the chunky soup setting.
  • Stir when it beeps, add in the basil and tinned tomatoes and blend.


Not all soup makers come with a blender so if this is you, then just use a hand blender at the end. I use a hand blender because I find that the blender on the soup maker, I have is not very good.
I like to cook my soup maker tomato soup on the chunky soup setting and blend later. This allows you add in or takeaway liquid and make sure you have the correct consistency of your soup.
