Blend the gluten free oats until smooth and add to the blender the rest of the dry ingredients.
In your air fryer baking pan add all the wet ingredients and stir well with a small wooden spoon.
Pour the dry ingredients out of the blender and into the baking pan and mix well with a fork.
Add the raisins and press down the mixture into the baking pan and make sure it is all level.
Cook for 10 minutes at 160c/320f, followed by a further 5 minutes at 180c/360f.
Place in the freezer for 5 minutes to let it stiffen up.
Chop into chewy granola bars and serve.
I peeled, removed the core of my apple and steamed it in the Instant Pot for 0 minutes as its much quicker than any other method and made sure it was thinly diced. The wet ingredients work as the non-stick so that you don’t have to coat your baking pan before cooking.
Whether you blend the oats or not is personal choice. If they are blended it gives a much nicer smoother texture. Or you can go with the middle ground and blend half and then keep the other half as full-sized oats. You can add any of your favourite granola extras.
If you have dried fruit, coconut flakes, then these would be perfect in your chewy granola bars too. We used our air fryer baking pan. If you don’t have one or are looking for new ideas, then check out our air fryer accessories guide. We used Bob’s Red Mill Gluten Free Oats to make our chewy granola bars.
