Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken

Dump and go Slow Cooker Shredded Chicken. Throw the ingredients into the slow cooker, then come back later to slow cooker shredded chicken.

Instructions

  • Place all the ingredients into the slow cooker and cook on high for 3 hours.
  • After 3 hours remove the chicken breasts and place on a chopping board. Shred them with either your hands or a knife and fork.
  • Place the shredded chicken back into the slow cooker. Give it a good stir and make sure the tomatoes are well covered with the chicken.
  • Cook for the last 30 minutes so that the liquid reduces.

Notes

You can also cook it for 8 hours on low, followed by 10 minutes on high at the end. This would be better if you are at work all day.
If you want a different flavour such as mushrooms, then replace a regular can of tinned tomatoes with a mushroom flavoured one. Our favourite way to eat our shredded chicken is over some couscous. Or you could serve it with some rice.
