Ingredients

Instructions

  • In a large pan sauté your onion and garlic with your olive oil on a medium heat until the onion has softened.
  • Add the mince to the pan and cook for about 8 minutes until it is nice and brown and fully cooked.
  • Add half your tomato sauce and seasoning. Allow to cook on a low heat so that it simmers for about 10 minutes. Take any fat off the top of the bolognese with a large spoon as it simmers.
  • Take off the heat and allow to cool.
  • Once the mince is fairly cool where you can touch it with your hands, add the soft cheese and mix through your fingers. Place the bolognese into the cannelloni tubes putting your finger over one end so that they can’t fall out.
  • Place it in a casserole dish and then cover the cannelloni with a layer of tomato sauce and then cover with grated cheese.
  • Cook for 35 minutes on 180c until bubbling and cooked through.

Notes

To get my mince to cool I usually transfer it to a cool serving dish and then it saves waiting ages for it.
