Air Fryer Halloumi Gyros

The ultimate halloumi gyros. Made in the air fryer and loaded with halloumi and chips along with a quick prep Greek dip.

Ingredients

Greek Dip

  • 1 Tbsp Chopped Fresh Mint
  • 1 tsp Lemon Juice 1/4 Lemon
  • 10 g Cucumber Sliced 1/4 Medium Cucumber
  • 1 Tsp Garlic Puree
  • 6 Tbsp Greek Yoghurt

Instructions

  • Slice your halloumi into 6 portions and place in the air fryer. Air fry for 5 minutes at 180c/360f.

  • When the air fryer beeps add the chips to one side and cook for a further 2 minutes on the same temperature.

  • When the air fryer is cooking the halloumi add all the dip ingredients into a bowl and mix well.

  • When the air fryer beeps add a slice of halloumi, some chips, sliced cucumber and tomato and dip to a wrap and serve. Rinse and repeat for all 6 wraps.

Notes

Make Ahead. You can also make ahead your halloumi gyro ingredients and then just air fry them when you are ready.
Flimsy. Note that halloumi is rather flimsy and breaks really easy. That’s why I recommend being really gentle with it.
Salt. Halloumi is high salt. I recommend not adding extra salt and pepper or seasoning to it.
