Rinse and then drain your 2 cups of dried black beans, making sure you get rid of any broken bits of beans.
Place the dried black beans into the instant pot. Then add 1.5 cups of water, followed by seasonings, and mix well.
Add a frozen vegetable stock cube on top.
Place the lid on the instant pot. Set the valve to sealing and cook for 25 minutes on the beans function.
Do a quick pressure release, stir, and serve.
If using your black beans for meal prep, then allow to fully cool before placing into mason jars.

Texture. We all like our black beans different. 25 minutes with a QPR will produce just cooked black beans that don’t go to mush and is perfect for mixing with rice for a one pot dinner.
