Whole Butternut Squash In Slow Cooker. How to cook a whole butternut squash in the slow cooker. Inspired my Jamie Oliver, this is how to cook butternut squash in the slow cooker without any peeling and dicing. If you hate prepping butternut squash, then this is perfect for you.
Chop the top and bottom off your butternut squash.
Now the butternut squash is level use this to slice your butternut squash in half lengthways.
Load the butternut squash into the slow cooker and cook for 2 hours on high.
When the slow cooker has 20 minutes left prep and cook your instant pot Bolognese.
When the slow cooker is done, use a dessert spoon to scoop out the seeds.
Using the slow cooker as your bowl, hold up the butternut squash and ring out the extra wet liquid.
Pour Bolognese over your butternut squash half and serve.
Notes
I recommend that you follow step #6 and squeeze out extra liquid as butternut squash carries a lot and it can make your dinner watery. If you want to cook on low opt for 5 hours cook time.
