Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl place your lamb burger ingredients and mix well until all the lamb mince is well seasoned.
  • Using a burger press make the mince into lamb burger shapes.
  • Place the lamb burgers in the air fryer and cook for 18 minutes at 180c/360f.
  • While they are cooking make your Greek Dip. Using a fork mix the Grek dip ingredients together and then serve it with your lamb burgers.

Notes

Remember lamb is a very dry mince. This means that when you cook your lamb burgers in the air fryer the air fryer will smoke a bit. Though when we did ours it didn’t set off our smoke alarm. On a positive note this means you don’t need breadcrumbs, making it easier for turning into a low carb recipe.
I also use two wet ingredients in my lamb burgers so that they are not overly dry. This is harissa paste and garlic puree. We recommend you use garlic puree over garlic cloves. Harissa paste is made with chilli peppers so might be too spicy for children. You can sub this with tomato puree instead. We cook 4 lamb burgers at once. Our lamb burgers are rather big and 4 fits perfectly in our Philips XL.
If you have more burgers to cook, then do them in batches of 4 and as they are cooked, keep them warm in the oven on low. If you don’t have lamb mince but want a low calorie option, then swap lamb mince for 25% pork mince, 25% veal mince and 50% beef mince. The texture is identical and it works out much cheaper too.
