Semper Gluten Free Chocolate And Mint Wafers Review

"semper gluten free chocolate wafers"

Welcome to our review for the Semper Gluten Free Chocolate & Mint Wafer.

Did someone seriously bring out a chocolate and mint wafer bar that is gluten free? One that I could eat and not feel guilty about?

Well it seems they did and I am honoured to be getting the opportunity to give it a test run. And thankfully they know all about my addiction to chocolate hence them sending me 5 packs to get my teeth into.

Add to this the fact that Dominic & Kyle hate mint chocolate and I am going to be having a real feast…..

Semper Gluten Free Chocolate & Mint Wafer

The first reaction I get from Dominic is why do I have to review chocolate with mint in it. So better keep it to myself that they also sell gluten free cookies!!!

But none for Dominic means more for me.

I break open the pack and dive straight in. The first thing that gets my attention is that I can’t tell the difference between these and regular gluten wafers. I reviewed a caramel wafer bar early in the year and apart from the fact that this has real dark chocolate that is the only taste difference.

Until you try gluten free products you assume that they taste disgusting and are like bad diet products or that they are really boring. Of course some are but this rule doesn’t apply to Semper products.

From a taste point of view the two flavours that take over is the mint and the dark chocolate. I absolutely love the dark chocolate element and I reckon that if they bought out dark chocolate bars they could give Lindt a real run for their money. As a lot of dark chocolate here in Portugal is way too rich or tasteless and you only really have Nestle and Lindt to choose from. But if something like this came out it would fly off the shelves.

I am a real mint addict so really don’t mind the mint flavouring. I love things like After 8 mints, chocolate mint ice cream and of course those addictive mint sticks that you get at Christmas time.

They also come in 125g easy to carry bags and with me around they are gone like a flash of lightening!

Also because I get a lot of products sent to me for review, I follow the policy that I review the best and any I don’t 100% love I will sell locally. Well these are certainly not getting sold, they are all mine!
