Welcome to week 7 of my real life food blogging. To say that this is my last food blogging weekly post before Christmas and this blog started at the beginning of November feels crazy. To say everything that I have fit in, no longer I need a long break over Christmas to get over it!
We have two ebooks live on the Kindle
Not one but two ebooks are now live and are all down to the wonderful world of recycled content and an amazing graphics designer come virtual assistant. I firstly wrote the content and it was published on the blog and now made into an ebook.
Because my content was planned around turning it into ebooks it means that it reads well and to the reader they are getting an excellent reading experience.
Air Fryer Recipes Ebook – this is the first and it has already had a sale before I had even had the chance to set up authors central on Amazon for it. It covers 26 recipes that I have written that are either live or going to be live on the blog. It also covers our review of the Philips Air fryer at the end of the ebook as the designated upsell.
How to start a food blog – This ebook focuses on all the material for starting a food blog. It includes the first six weeks of real life food blogging, our first income report and our resources pages from our blog.
I didn’t plan of bringing the second one out until the New Year but because it was ready I decided why not?
I also have set up authors central for both of them so that they can both have a nice profile and have a keyword rich description.
We have 500+ Followers On Instagram
Since the last week I have opened an Instagram, started loading up old blog posts and developed a following of over 500 fans. Just an hour a night over the last five nights and I am starting to feel like I am really getting into Instagram. I am not one for mobile phones but do it off my tablet as it is super easy that way!

Content calendar & scheduled posts for January
We want to have time off at Christmas but we still want to do lots of blogging = doing as much in advance as we can. The recipes are done up until the 11th, cooking tips posts are done for the month, reviews and other posts are 80% done and we have no blog posts left to do until the second Monday in January. I am really impressed with how far ahead we are on this and hopefully we can sneak in a little more before the New Year.
We won’t be reporting on our work next week, for the first time since we started it. Instead we will be back in two weeks and will be sharing with you instead what we did over the Christmas period and how many hours we had to put in. We felt that was important as way too many people work too many hours over Christmas. Plus as a mother and a wife I want family time.
We will share what social media we have done and what will be first for us in 2016 and I am really looking forward to talking to you about that!
