Juicing For Life Ebook Review

Welcome to my review for Juicing For Life ebook.

Welcome to my review for Juicing For Life ebook. It is a ebook dedicated to those that want to change their life for the better by juicing and is written by Nancy Wilson.

It is quite a while since I have really juiced on a regular basis and it is nice to get involved and to read a fresh take on the juicing world. I remember following a juicing plan in January of 2015 and having excellent weight loss results along the way, but now I see juicing as a great way to increase healthy eating within my healthy lifestyle and reminding myself how good juicing is for us.

Thanks to this amazing brand, I was given the chance to review a juicer earlier on at RecipeThis.com and have to say that I feel like I never use it enough. It is a high quality juicer from Germany and is so quick to use and clean, that it has got me seriously considering juicing more often.

I last juiced just before going on holiday to Spain in June. This was because we had loads of leftover apples and oranges and I hate food waste so I had some fresh apple juice and some fresh orange juice. It was delicious and I made a pact to juice more when I got home.

Juicing For Life & Breakfast

So as I write this review I am struck with the first part of the book because it has really hit a nerve with me. The author is talking about breakfasts and how the breakfast of today compares to the breakfast of the past.

On a recent holiday I was shocked by the lack of nutrition at breakfast and spent the whole holiday mad about it. I hate cereal and I hate toast and apart from these and some pastries there really wasn’t much choice. I remember breakfast buffets on holiday just 10 years ago. You would get about 6 different fresh juices to choose from, freshly made yoghurts flavoured with fresh fruit and then you would have a huge fruit bar to choose from. But apart from bottled fruit juice and some past its best fresh pineapple – there was none of these.

Instead you had plenty of choice when it came to coffee and to bread but not for those of us out there that want to eat relatively healthy. Of course I am no healthy eating saint, but I want to start my day with something healthy. Clearly though, my teenage son loved it and was having four doughnuts everyday for breakfast followed by unhealthy cereal.

But by having a healthy juice for breakfast you can give your body a total health makeover. If you think of having fruit and vegetables in the morning you just wouldn’t have many of them. You might have a piece of fruit or an orange juice but that would be it.

But imagine if you had a juice with your breakfast (or as your breakfast) and it contained your five a day? You would end up giving yourself a huge morning boost.

Juicing For Life & Your Five A Day

For years we have been told the importance of getting our five a day in our diet. That if we eat our five a day we will live longer and have better quality of health. But for many people they find it impossible to eat that much fruit and veg. Or they are going to be on the road and end up in a hotel like me when it is not on offer.

But if we drink our five a day as well as eating them in our day to day diet we would feel absolutely amazing and it would really increase our energy at the same time.

There are a LOT of fruits and vegetables outlined in the Juicing For Life ebook but these are my personal favourite:

  • Avocado
  • Celery
  • Ginger
  • Apple
  • Carrot
  • Spinach
  • Broccoli
  • Pineapple
  • Strawberries
  • Orange

I do prefer to juice vegetables rather than fruit but that is just personal choice. It depends what you want to get out of your juice and whether you are all about weight loss or it is just about being healthy.

Juicing Diet Vs Healthy Juicing

What I like about this ebook is that you can it however you see fit. I am not one for following a strict five day juice plan and would rather have it as an extra way to increase fruit and vegetables into my diet.

You can do this (according to the book) by juicing regularly as well as following a balanced diet with the rules of eating clean. So sadly this means limited dairy, no flour, no white sugar and certainly no butter!

When you juice, aim for one in the morning around the time you have breakfast and then another in the evening or in the afternoon. I prefer to have mine in the evening when I would normally pig out on chocolate, though the ebook recommends that you have your second glass in the afternoon.

Juicing For Life – Should You Buy It?

Absolutely! I loved reading what Nancy Wilson had to say about juicing and what a difference it can make to your body. My only complaint about the ebook was that when you talk about drinking water in your diet or the amount of juice to have, it is always done in litres. As in everyone should have 2 litres of water a day in their diet but it was all in ounces so I was lost by how much you should be having.

Here are ten reasons to buy Juicing for life:

  • Excellent nutritional information
  • Good value for money
  • Can help with high blood pressure
  • Good assistance in choosing a juicer
  • Great fruit and vegetable ideas to get you started
  • Fantastic Juicing Diet
  • You can tailor the ebook to your own needs
  • Amazing selection of juice recipes
  • Good starting point for your own juicing ideas
  • Great diet section
