    1. Hi

Sorry for the late reply. I think we missed some info of off the recipe. I have added extra info. If you look at point 3 on the method and this is when you use your butter, S & P and herbs. Also to brown the fish after it is cooked you can heat up a frying pan with some butter or olive oil and just add the fish in top down for 2 minutes to get a good brown colour.

      Regards

    1. Hi Paulaz

The potatoes stay in the pot when you add the salmon and broccoli and then should be fully cooked at the same time as the salmon and broccoli.

      Thanks.

    1. Hi Dee

Yes it is a small piece of salmon for most people. For us it is just fine as we are most of the time watching what we eat after losing a huge amount of weight and we do the hypnotic gastric band to help with our portion sizes. So if you are cooking a larger piece of salmon add more time on the keep warm mode after the cycle has finished.

      Thanks.

  1. Would it be possible to get the amounts of all ingredients in USA measurements as well please? I have no idea how to convert them into ounces etc.

    1. Hi Linda,

We are currently working on getting the conversions done and uploaded onto RecipeThis.com. We expect a converter to be on the site within the next month or so. In the meantime if you Google 100g = ounce (or whatever the gram amounts are) google will translate it for you, as that’s what we do when we visit a US food blog.

      Kind regards

  2. In your salmon, potatoes and broccoli recipe you refer to the steaming rack. What rack do you use?

    1. Hi Candy

This is the steaming basket that we use Steaming Basket. It is an affiliate link for Amazon and we find it really good. Also on the 11th June we have a blog post dedicated to steaming in the Instant Pot so you might get some more ideas from it when it goes live 🙂

      Thanks

Hi, that link takes me to a mug?

I too am interested in seeing which steaming basket you used, as my broccoli turned out too soft.

        Thanks

        1. Hi Matt

This is what is supposed to be there:

http://amzn.to/2A2dl5V (This is an Amazon affiliate link)

This is the steaming basket we use and fits in the 6 quart Instant pot which we have. If the broccoli turns out too soft for you just reduce the time by a couple of minutes and it should be alot firmer.

          Many Thanks

    1. Hi Patricia ,

This is the hypnotic gastric band that we followed in 2013 and still follow now. It basically teaches you to eat a lot less without major surgery and is the brain child of Paul McKenna. Have a more detailed look here: Paul Mckenna

    1. Hi Nam,

I would just do a natural release from the valve instead of a quick release and that should be fine for frozen salmon.

      Thanks.

    1. Hi LuAnn,

Yes you can. The Instant pot with it been a pressure cooker will cook the same amount of food exactly the same times no matter what the quantities. If you click the servings number you will see a slider and it will automatically change the amounts for you.

      Kind Regards

Delicious! Don’t cut the broccoli too small. For the person who wanted the salmon browned, get Mealthy’s new CrispLid. Makes wonderful, crispy food with only a tablespoon of oil, too.

  4. I dont have an instant pot but I do have a Cuisinart pressure cooker. I dont have a steam button. Would I use high pressure or low pressure to make your recipe?

    1. Hi Joan

We always use high pressure for our recipes unless stated. If you have a pressure cook button then that hould do the same as our steam or pressure cook button on the Instant Pot 🙂

I have made this three times and it’s delicious. I made a couple minor changes. I found the butter didn’t stay on the potatoes during cooking so I added the butter at serving time. Be sure to cut potatoes if they’re not all the same size. I found they were better if I cooked them for three minutes. I also used fresh green beans recently. After everything was cooked, I took out the potatoes and beans and browned the salmon with the Mealthy CrispLid–3 minutes at 375 degrees. Another time I might try leaving the potatoes in when crisping the salmon.
