    why do they put these recipes in ml and g. most people dont know how to do them. im very disappointed because i wanted to make this recipe. EDIT: Just managed to make with help from Sam and they were delicious.

      We did the conversion chart for people like yourself that are not familiar with the way we measure out the ingredients.

      Thanks for your email.

      It works out at 20% of an ounce. Though it is 2/3s of one of those small packets of yeast, that comes in little sachets that you buy from the supermarket.

    Excellent and really easy recipe. I live in Japan where fresh bread (with no preservatives) is expensive. You have given me a great new use for my AF.

      We like bread really doughy. Try cooking on a lower heat for a further 10 minutes, that should help.

    Hi, ive never made bread before and would like to try your recipe. On the notes, if i “prove” them by cooking the dough for 60c/140f for 15 minutes, do i have to do it twice? As your recipe calls for proving for 1hour first, then another 30mins after kneading. Thanks!!

    1. Hi Bernice,

      No Bernice the on the notes section is been able to prove the dough in the air fryer if you have not got somewhere hot to put your dough. We prove it outside in summer with a wet towel as it is the perfect temperature 🙂

  7. Hi, can I use other oils eg canola oil instead of olive oil and coconut oil if I do not have these in my pantry pls? Also, can I use self raising flour and omit the yeast in your recipe pls? Thanks!

    1. Hi Pris,

      I cannot say for sure about those oils but we substituted butter for olive oil and it works really well. As for changing the plain flour to self raising it will turn out more like cake i would say instead of a bread 🙂

    Like!! I love your bread and its perfect for some soup i am making for lunch today in the instant pot.

    1. If your air fryer doesn’t go low enough, i would recommend prooving the bread in bowl instead with a damp tea towel over it instead.

      The nutrition is worked out from how many servings. So the bread served 4 so it takes just one portion and works it out from that. So i would take the carbs as for 2-3 rolls not one. But these nutrition totals are for a guide only as things like quality of ingredients can effect the values in the nutrition info 🙂

    I see salt and pepper listed in the ingredients list, but there aren’t any measurements listed and I don’t see any instructions on when to add it. Can you elaborate here? Also, I’m assuming the butter is unsalted?

      We never put how much salt and pepper to add on our recipes as everyone is different, the amount of salt and pepper we use might not be enough for someone else or could be too much, so you just put in enough that you think you will like. The butter was salted and if we use unsalted we will stipulate in the recipe.

  10. Hello, can you use this recipe for a bread loaf in an air fryer? If so, how would you recommend to bake said loaf?

    1. Hi Katherine,

      In theory yes it could be used to make a bread loaf but we have never cooked a bread loaf in an air fryer just bread rolls. A few things to look out for, we have trouble finding a bread loaf tin to actually fit in to our air fryer. Also the bread may rise and the top would be touching the heat element and thus burning the top of your loaf before it is cooked and in our experience with the air fryer it does not tend to cook things that are too deep very well.

      These are the main reasons why we have not tried it but if you wanted to i would suggest trying in 2 smaller tins and make sure you have enough room above the tin so your bread can rise 🙂
